Discovery in disarray.... ?

Bruyneel wasn't DC at the Vuelta or the one day races... Sainz is DC all year round....... one card trick u c.......... :p
HUH? DS you mean? I figured someone would pull that card. He is the main man calling the shots. Its his team.

I know he calls the shots..... he pushed DeMol out of the car at PR this year and they still managed to orchestrate a failure with 3 riders in the final break.... diabolical........ AG2R have had a better year with more ProTour points..... and a 5th of the budget....:p

here we go. Got your point shot down so now you have to find a different angle.

Giving credit for Savoldelli's Giro win to Bruyneel? Sean Yates would have more than a little to say about that....

Lim, how quick you are to forget and criticize. Do Heras' 2003 victory in the Vuelta and Savoldelli's 2005 victory in the Giro not count on Bruyneel's palmares?
Out of 21 possible GT race victories over his 7 years as a DS, Discovery has 9. Hincapie has wins in Gemt-Wevelgem in 2001, Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne in 2005, 1st Overall Three Days of the Panne 2004 and there are more victories from other DC riders over those 7 years in smaller races. For you to say Bruyneel is only successful in "one race" is off the mark.

Yates directed Savoldelli at the Giro in 2005.

Heras 2003 - I am pretty confident that bruyneel wasn't in attendance at that race either.

As I said earlier, I do credit Bruyneel to an extent.
But he ain't Guimard and he certainly ain't Saiz or Echivarria either in terms of success and team management.

to the Danielson issue. They commentator on cycling.tv covering the Giro just was asked about Danielson's chances overall as a sub for Salvodelli if he fails to come up big. He said that he has friends inside of DC staff and they don't think Danielson has the experience to do anything beyond maybe winning a stage. He did all the big climbs and did them at a good heart rate so they expect him to climb well, but they don't see him as close to being able to win yet. Take that how you will.

What a disarray for DSC today... I don't mean anything like that they will win again or anything like this, but surely they are a big team with huge experience so it's not appropiate to underestimate them.

With Savoldelli winning the ITT this should put the Danielson issue to bed... If DC keeping plugging TommyD for victory then they all of DC derserve to be lined up against a wall and shot..... I just hope they are smart and do the right thing by Il Falco... he is a big chance to win.....

LOL, you just never give up do you? If Savoldelli,Danielson or any other DC rider ends up winning or placing on the podium in the Giro are you going to be a man and admit that DC are not in disarray?

Even if they podium it shows they are not in disarry.

Not with the budget the size of DC... they need results and so far this year they have none..... they have underperformed and are likely to shoot themselves in the foot by trumpeting TommyD over Il Falco.... lets wait for week 2 to see just how much support PS has..... AG2r have had more wins this wear than DC... that says it all.... its humble pie but you guys have to start swallowing it....

Just some stage victories shows they are not in disarray in my book and they just got one.

If Savoldelli podiums it will be because he went against team orders and rode his own race..... it will be a victory for him not DC..... lets wait and see how this race unfolds..... I think we'll see a few soap opera's unfold in the DC bus..... ie TommyD crying to LA and having the team ride for him to finish 9th on GC..... thats disarray.

Dc has never plugged Danielson for the Giro victory over Savoldelli.
Today's quote from Danielson is surprising for a man supposedly working for Il Falco.....

"Today was okay," said Danielson. "I wasn't really aiming too much for the time trial, but I've been working on it a bit and I'm pretty happy. We've been working really hard on the climbs and that's where I hope to do well."

What is he talking about ? Why is he going to do well in the mountains ? he should be declaring full support for Savoldelli. This is diabolical. Disarray my friends, disarray.

You are reaching my friend. And you also conveniently left out this part of the conversation.
Asked whether Discovery has the team to get the job done, he said: "The team's great - like our Tour de France team we've got a strong team here and I'm sure they'll work great. It'll be good to get a solid result here and build on that for the rest of the race."

How do you know this? Are you and Savoldelli mates? You are right though, there is alot of racing to do but just make sure your broadband connection is working good because I wouldnt want you to pull another disappearing act like last year after the TdF's Courchevel stage.:p

Everyone knows Salvodelli is the leader.
Everyone also knows TommyD is the climber dude and Disco above everyone else wants to see him do well--to gain confidence and to step up to the plate if need be. The fact is on days like the last week in this years Giro, ANYONE could crack and lose ten minutes on one stage. Better for Disco if they have two guys up front.

This is his chance to do a big ride in one of the biggest races. He wont ride against Salvodelli and he wont be ordered to drop back and wait ten minutes for him eith, unlike Ullrich Salvodelli can pace himself fine up climbs. If Salvo can win Danielson will have to work for him. If on a steep climb the group goes and Paolo is dropped it will be up to Tom to go with the moves. This is not disarray, this is having two cards to play.

He may no mention of Savoldelli in his speech...... Beltran or Hincapie never would of done this to Sir Lance-alot.... there is no respect in DC.... Savoldelli 2 time Giro winner, TommyD won a provincial tour in Georgia when he was dragged over a mountain by a 6 time Tour winner.... the math just doesn't add up and mark my words DC will drop Savoldelli for the TommyD show..... It’s about money at DC and US market-share…. They should be looking after those who got you there in the first place....... that’s disarray.
