And we all know which side of the doping issue the Spanish are on and why Disco's riders live in Spain...

Utter ****ing joke.
Isnt the latest US pro tour team going to be based in Spain (full time living together) hehe...talk about taking it to a new level...

I can believe Levi can take 50 seconds out of cadel for sure but not 1st and 2nd in the stage....and a climber pulling down the pants of some of the big TT specialists....

exactly! disco rides clean!

Levi just being interviewed on EuroSport....... said it was the race of his life and he could have gone faster ! Yeah right......... he looks so fresh........

Amazing, DC's likely results in this year's Tour:

Yellow Jersey, Alberto
Third on Podium, Levi (at least)
White Jersey, Alberto
Team Classification
3 in the top ten GC
1 stage win, Alberto
1 stage win, Levi
1 likely additional stage win (if Ras' win over Levi is overturned)

Hooray! :)

If I was unaware of everything that has gone on, I'd be tempted to believe that from all the commentary!

You must be watching Ligget and Sherwen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too right. mechanic holding his back seat while the car just took him back to the group. the bastards.

I thought he was having his seat adjusted by the mechanic. Did I miss something? :p

Sadly yes!

How can Contador smile on that podium, with everything that's happened this week..........

lol what an effing joke. it was bad enough when chicken rode that first ITT, but levi leipheimer demolishing the field is just as bad as lance pharmstrong riding everyone off his wheel in the mountains.

Have they / will they retroactively give Levi the time bonus he would have gotten from that win?

I was being facetious.

Dave Harmon on ES has just said that this TDF has been "very turbulent"

In their parallel universe, I'm sure Ligget and Sherwen are mouthing the same platitudes.
Did they mention the ASO press conference in which the ASO have decided to introduce new rules for the 08 TDF??

Disco haters. This must be a dark day ;)

It is a very dark time for cycling, period, and from rumors I hear it will get worse befoerr it is sorted out.
No matter what happens I am not sure if anyone will generally be considered a winner this year.

We have a week of waiting to see if positives come back,........

However, Bruyneel has taken 2 riders with some talent at the top again. No one gave LL a chance in hell to win, and he came so close. No one had picked Contador either. Cadel rode a great race to hold off the Disco riders all around him ....

Contador has a great career ahead of him. Even you Disco haters should be happy about this one. The "Disco dope is better" is a way thin line of reasoning. With Contador winning we may see a ushering in of younger riders who may not consider doping just a thing you do. This win may signal a change.

Cycling is not going to change if the old guard stays in it. No matter how much you scream "I hate dope", the fact is that everyone involved in cycling believes it has to be there if pro cycling is to be a mainstream sport. I don't care if McWish and Prudie talk against it. They know the score, and they believe it is a important component to bike racing.

We all agree the sport needs change. But maybe the change that is needed is that our hero's need to find other jobs.

Well I am going to go knock off 70 or 80 miles. At least I know that I'm clean.
LOL. Its 2am here and I am thinking about doing the same....I dont know why you guys dont support me when I post about 'taking the sport back'.

For those of you how thought what we just watched was 'entertaining' you are sad sad people.

Let's see who wins UCI vs ASO.

Man, I wish I had cable... Sounded like a sweet stage judging from my web updates.

For all intents and purposes Rasmussen is down as withdrawn, not disqualified, so his stage wins won't be going anywhere...

LOVING the doping beefs though. Someone's doping because of where they live now? :D

Yes the German forums have some dark stories...... stories that the UCI can't cover up........ unfortunately this race isn't over... next stop... the court room.... LeMond better dust off his suit !
