however, youre argument is based on the premise that contador is clean. and as we have seen, where there is smoke there is fire. alpuerto's connections to doping cannot be glossed over. he was directly implicated and no matter how many try to deny it, it cannot be ignored
He was not directly implicated. You need to show me that. AC ties to OP are really not there. The official papers say as much. And his name was never conected to actual doping. Just his name on training schedules. Nothing more.
You need to show evidence that he was directly implicated, or else your posts contain nothing.
His name was on the schedules because of the team he was on. Using your reasoning, the biggest doper in the peloton was Klodi. He was on the 2 teams [TM & Astana ] that we know for a fact that doped.
Using your reasoning Klodi should never be allowed to race.
Do you honestly believe Prudie would allow a rider that was connected to OP [directly implicated] to start the TDF wearing Disco kits?
But I don't use that reasoning.
I believe he was on something. But the evidence does not remotely point to OP.
I also believe every rider since before I was born was juiced in one way or another. ...... I think this dope goes down to the bottom of the TDF peloton, depending on the role the individual played in the race.
Think about the domistiques who rode for the top guns...... They are the ones that placed the top riders in that slot.... They are the ones who need a extra edge too.......
But moving on, my point was now we have a younger rider that has won. The teams will see this as a chance to give younger riders a chance. And if the younger riders push their way, we will see a cleaner peloton.
The only solution to this mess is changing of the guard. And that ain't going to happen.
