  1. Query:

If you order out for a pizza, what toppings do you request?
They are more limited than if you make it yourself.

I generally get sausage, mushroom, black olive and extra cheese.

At home, all bets are off!

See the above and add the following possibilities:

    Ham
    Pineapple
    Artichoke hearts
    Cocktail shrimp
Alternate extra cheeses (Monterey jack for me!)
Sliced smoked sausage (Pepperoni is too salty for me but YMMV)
    Olives of any kind
Interesting items from the 'frige (Musgovian pizza)

    Other ideas?

If there was a pizza thread, I may have missed it.
This lists generates a lot of posts and if there is a large thread
running that I'm not reading, it often gets kf'd.

First off, stone is essential for cooking a pizza at home, metal baking
    sheets don't compare.

I don't like anchovies on ordered pizza, but love them on my own. That way
I can chop them smaller and use less of them, spread it out a little better
to avoid the salt overdose. They go great with black olives (green gets too
salty with the combined anchovies) and I like to mix a tiny bit of bbq sauce
(home made when I have it) into the tomato sauce. Other vegies are always
random... peppers, mushrooms, onions, whatever I have.

    Order out:
pepperoni, Italian sausage and black olives
double Italian sausage and black olives
    double pepperoni and onion

Depends on whose turn it is to pick.

    Home:
Any or all of the following:
Onion, broccoli, fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, pesto, chopped garlic,
    sun-dried tomatoes, pepperoni.

Himself chooses other ingredients at home, but he's not here to
    respond.

What's a "frige?" Did you mean fridge? Like as in re"fridge"rator?

BBQ sauce, pineapple, diced cooked chicken, crisp bacon, lotsa mozza and a

There nothing wrong with that combination. They were made for each other.

I think the most important/tastiest part of a pizza is a good well
browned crust. I never get extra toppings. My favorite local mom & pop
pizza place won't even make a pizza other than their standard Neapolitan
    with crushed tomatoes and cheese.

I agree... I don't like everything but the kitchen sink on my pizza.
Probably my ex-husband's insistence on anchovies on his half of the pizza
(they snuck over to my side) may have been a factor in our divorce <g>

Not acidic at all. I'm not talking about store-bought sauce. I make it.
    Pineapple is caramalized
    No tomato sauce in it.

I make my own sauce, and its delicious. Not hard on the stomach at all. I
have acid reflux, take meds daily, and my sauce never bothers me (not even
before I started meds). It doesn't have a lot of vinegar in it and no
ketchup (blech!). I use pinapple juice, some tomato paste, molasses, and a
few other choice ingredients, including some liquid smoke. The sauce is
beyond delicious, and goes well with everything on the grill, too.

Try making pizza with a good homemade BBQ sauce, and the toppings I listed.
You will fall in love. I guarantee it.
