Discovery in disarray.... ?

Yep, DC really can't climb anymore. Won't be getting any top 10 placings, will be lucky with another stage win.

They look like they just are waiting for orders, not sure of anything. Its pretty amazing to find RUbiera regularly riding in the grupetto.

I think the have a shot at a Top 10, if Popo can ride a solid TT.

Bruyneel was interviewed on EuroSport and asked the question would he hire Landis next year; his responce: "At the moment we have nothing, so I would hire any good rider who would join us"...... how things have changed.... he should of hired Vino when he had the chance.... disarray....

vino? why? you think he has a grand tour win in those legs? I don't. He's proven to be a good attacker and seems to have a strong will but he's not the winner of a 3week race in my opinion.

Vino made no sense to Discovery, since they already had:

1- A classics guy with stage races skills (Hincapie)
2- Young talent (Popovich/Danielson)
3- A skilled pure climber (Azevedo)

Now they only need a poor man Lance Armstrong, and Landis seems to fit this hole.

Also Phonak is withdrawing its sponsorship and I don´t know if iShares will give Landis what he wants (money + strong team), and specially after his amazing season he deserves that.

And maybe there´s Basso too... Makes few sense, but nothing makes sense nowadays.

Don't believe everything you see.......there are a lot of agreements made between teams and cyclists, which fans never will know about.......

Don't forget about the dreams and fantasies of some forum members.

Before leaving Armstrong raided the fridge and didn't leave any for his (ex) team mates.
What is really disheartening is that he sold it to T-Mobile. Man obviously cares nothing for his ex-team mates.

I think Lance probably didn't think Landis could win this year. Otherwise he would have included his nickname in the notebook he left for the Puerto authorities to find.

"Let's see -- freaking Basques were always in my way in the Pyrenees, so let's take them down along with the Spaniards. Who else? Oh yes, Basso of course, because he's young enough to threaten my 7 TdFs, and it pisses me off that he might be able to pull off a double after the Giro. Little wop show-off.

And Ullrich, of course. Anyone who won it before me has no business being a threat to win it again after I leave, even if it is the guy who I made my ***** 5 times (giggle).

Hope they find this thing this time. I left that one gift-wrapped for Leblanc last week, and the idiot used it to straighten out the wobble under his desk. No wonder he never caught me. He couldn't catch a cold."

Actually, it got lost in his wife's armpit hair.

LA has never been excluded from a race by his own DS, in conjunction with all the major DSs. LA has never caused his team/DS to be asked by his own lead sponsor to have him excluded from the TdF team. LA's DS has never been fired due to allegations that the DS was procuring drugs for LA. There have never been any blood bags labeled "Lance" or records saying "Johan's son" or "Lance" in the hands of doping doctors. There have never been calls recorded by governmental authorities from Bruyneel to doping doctors saying, 'a third person won' on a day that LA won.

What does that mean? :D ;)

somehow they did find EPO in his urine though. and there were plenty of third party witnesses who seemed to have evidence against armstrong about as convincing as the allegations Ullrich is currently facing. This is not to say that ullrich is innocent, but that Lance has been involved in plenty of similar situations.

USPS/DC holds a lot of Tour records. It is hard to keep up that amazing pace:

Total GC victories: LA (7)
Number of dyas in yellow LA is second (82) behind Merckx (111)
Fastest team time trial: DC, 2005 (57.32 km.hr)
Most road stage victories: LA (22)
