Then you're gong to have to be specific about what information you
want, if you really want people to help you.

A girl told me i was 'absoloutely awesome' the other day, she was cute.
And a guy paused in overtaking me in a BMW to check me out!

kinda long but I didn't want to start a new thread for this:

On sat. our town was having a Christmas parade downtown so at the last
moment my friend Stephen and I decided that we were going to find a
float to join. I brought my 20 and 24 qu-ax's with me and after we
found a place to park we rode down where all the floats and people were
waiting for the parade to start. After a while we found a group of
people we knew that were in a church float so what ended up being with
them.

There was a float behind us that had 2 or 3 trails bikers doing stuff
so I talked to them and that was cool since I haven't seen anyone else
who does trails around where I live. While we were still waiting around
people wanted to see some tricks to there was this probably 13ish stair
set that I hopped up then rode down which impressed a lot of people.

Then there was this little boy who gave us some of his glow sticks to
put in our spokes and it looked pretty cool in the dark. During the
parade we rode around and had fun, didn't hear any new comments, just
the usual. Then there was some people with a loud speaker telling what
was happening during the parade and then kept talking about how our
b*ke was broken and how they could never be able to do that.

Because we were near the front of the parade when we finished we went
back to watch the other floats and get pizza. I was letting someone
try to ride it and ended up falling pretty far behind everyone and
because the sidewalk was covered in people I was unicycling against
everyone coming and it was crazy.

I was riding around a place where there's a bunch of stores and I was
riding on the brick ledge and jumped off and this elderly lady said
"you're scaring me!" and then this other lady was like "my grandson
asked for a unicycle, where can I get one?" so I told her to go to
unicycle.com.

Looked like pure hell on the trail one day- just finishing the fifth
mile of dirty, rooty hills. Bad out of shape and everything. Sweating
like a pig, feeling like I should lose a few... dozen... pounds. Then
some mountain bikers came around in their matching shirts and shorts
sets with matching helmet stickers and everything. "How many laps you
do?" They asked.

At first I was kinda irked. How many laps did I LOOK like I'd done?
I said,"One lap, white trail and yellow" all while gasping, and
looking relieved that their passing gave me the chance to stop and
rest. Riding past, they were hooting and saying "Damn! That's great!"
and such.

I dunno whether to stay irked or be proud.

my favourite is when you get "how do u get on that thing?" usually i
promptly jump mount and say "just jump on it"

Also when i get asked how do u ride that thing? I say "Just pedal,
since that's all there is to do!"

My favourite incident, was when this guy on a bmx with his (rather
nice) girlfriend walking next to him saw me jump on a bench. I jumped
off and did a 180, and I see the bmx dude try to jump on the bench next
to me and fall off ! I couldnt stop laughing damn that was so funny....

The weather has been terrible recently - lots of wind and rain. But I
got a new uni for my birthday last week and I'm desperate to ride it.
So on the past few nights I have ridden in the wind and rain as best
that I can.

Man on the beach today: (ps beach = very, very windy)

This might not belong since no words were uttered, but it -is- the story
of the encounter between a unicyclist and a (presumably) non-unicyclist
so here it is:

I was riding in a deserted industrial park and stopped to walk through
a line of trees to another rideable area. As I prepared to mount I
heard a car coming from behind, so as usual I waited for the car to
pass. (this is because I'm shy and don't like people to watch my clumsy
freemounting skills).

It didn't pass, the driver stopped just behind me. I looked and saw an
elderly man in a 30-something year old car just sitting there watching
me. I decided to go ahead and ride, keeping far to one side in case he
was afraid of hitting me. (I figured that was why he didn't pass me).

But he still did not pass me. The sound of tires on gravel indicated
that he was following me. I was only going maybe 5mph, and he kept
pace, staying behind me.

I turned once or twice to see what he was doing. He was just following
me, fairly close behind me, but not making any attempt to pass me. If
he was just checking out the crazy unicyclist he was sure being pushy
about keeping up real close to me.

I rode about 30 yards to a right turn which led to another 200 yard
straightaway, another right turn and 20 or 30 more yards, all at a
snail's pace, (I was taking it easy due to lots of cracks, potholes and
chuncks of asphalt, and it was very windy to boot). After all this, he
apparently had enough and went on past me.

I did pretty good through all that, but as soon as he was gone I had a
nice upd.

I was out riding late with one of my friends, around 2:00am and there
were some punk teen girls harassing an older Asian man on the street, I
don't believe he spoke English but my friend and I rode over to tell
them to screw off and leave the guy alone. One of the girls told me to
let her ride my "bike" I wouldn't let her so as we rode off after the
man had walked away she ran up behind me so I 180 hop twisted around to
face her just before she reached me and she got up right in my face and
said "I'm gunna f****in' shove you off that thing" I just laughed at
her and rode off backwards facing her then hopped around and continued
to leave with my friend. As we rode off we got several comments "Oooh
I'm so tough, I ride a unicycle!" and my person favorite which they all
thought was just -hilarious- after one had shouted it at us, "Uni
mannn!" If it weren't for the tone I would have sworn that it was a
complement haha.
