I Cokered to work this morning (I usually ride a recumbent bike). One
ped who I see most mornings, on a long straight stretch where he was
able to see me approaching long before he could see what i was riding,
said: "I thought you looked tall".

Going down quite a steep 1.5km switch back trail, met up with a cyclist
walking his bike up the trail, he starts laughing and smiling....

"Hey you're crazy...... Legend.... but crazy"

I just had to start laughing myself, no comeback for that one.

Haha! I was a couple secondes in front of you, around the corner same
guy says to me, after watching me jump down a a few rocks:

"Mate, did i just see you jump down those rocks, on one wheel? Yes, I
just did. Mate, you are... a [Censored] legend!"

I have been reading this thread for months. And I'd have expected by
now to be able to come up with some instant response to that
much-loved and perennial question, "Where's your other wheel?"

Yesterday, cycling between some cricketers and their spectators on the
village green, all I could say in reply was, "Dunno!". Oooh, the shame
of it, not being able to reply with a witticism!

In fact, I WAS on my "other wheel": my first wheel was back at home,
but I was well past them by the time I had realised it.

Have your response ready!

Jerry

Somebody asked me that the other day and they weren't joking. They were
quite insistent to know why I rode one wheel instead of two. So I told
them - it fits in the car better.

This past weekend we hosted the Korean unicycle hockey team here in Hong
Kong. The main event was the big match (hard fought and very close.
Winners: Hong Kong by 12 to 10), followed by lots of eating and
drinking and sociable riding.

Anyway, this morning I told my boss about the match, and he roared with
laughter, looked me in the eye and asked, "Did you kill anyone?"

What does he think we were playing, Rollerball?

Yesterday was the first time a skater had started the circus tune as i
approached... i just ignored it but felt like asking him why he was
wearing tight trousers...surely it would restrict his movement???
When i used to skate it was all baggy jeans and hoodies... down here
now its changed to skin tight black jeans and other stupid silly
looking 'fashion' statements.

yeah, around here skaters wear skin tight clothing now, I don't
understand it. Wouldn't that make riding and doing tricks harder?
