No, I most certainly did not. You clearly have, though.
Quoted message said:
No, you obviously did miss the point. Otherwise you would have restated it.
There's no reason to restate the obvious point that you're an idiot who doesn't think through what they're saying very clearly.
Another way of stating that you don't know what a loser is (no mirrors?) and now off topic is your only hope. I think IQ tests should keep persons of your ilk off of USENET.

Say what? Why should the Vietnam Veterans be considered "losers"? This doesn't make any sense to me at all, David...and I'm VERY surprised to hear it coming from you. Others' perspectives of them has nothing to do with whether they are "losers" or not. Those who use others' opinions to form their own are the losers...apparently, you fall into that category?

The problem with what you are saying is that "Others' perspectives" is exactly what is being bandied about here.
No, it certainly isn't.
Alright.
It is by everyone but you.
The frustrating part is that, even when it's pointed out to you (or clarified for you), you persist in your own interpretation of what other people meant when they wrote 'x'.

But, you knew that...
Only for those who allow others' opinions to form their own.
You still knew that. -- "Your enemy is never a villain in his own eyes. Keep this in mind; it may offer a way to make him your friend. If not, you can kill him without hate - and quickly." -Lazarus Long

Perhaps if you understood the basics of the English language, you might not be so frustrated. For instance, the statement "I would rather they come home victorious than losers" isn't an option, it is a statement that if they come home now they are (ARE) losers.
You should work on that.
