You think it's better to try the same thing over and over when it's been
shown not to work?you know there's more than one effective way to lose weight, that not
everything that works for one person works for everyone else. try
applying that principle to therapy.it could be something as simple as joining the local hospital's "quit
smoking" program or something like that, you know. you need to start
somewhere.or you can just keep being a non-quitting drama queen. you do seem to
like it, so it must be working for you on some level.
Yes, it does help to talk about problems on a support group. The smoking
thing wasn't even the point of the original post other than as the trigger
that set off the weight gain. It sure is overly dramatic of me to talk
about recommitting to my diet on a diet support group. The drama didn't
come from me, it started with the preachy do-gooders who decided to change
the subject and berate me for deciding to delay quitting smoking. When I
tried to explain the reasoning, yes, _reasoning_ behind the decision, I was
told I was making excuses. It's interesting how in a post-space age world,
people still believe they have the power of mind reading.
