: Both. :o) I want to quit smoking. I don't feel ready yet. It
takes tools
: that I don't have in my arsenal right now. I don't have resolve,
: commitment, willpower, mental strength, emotional strength, or
optimism
:luna,
you would do yourself a lot more good, if you told yourself the
truth......................you don't really want to quit smoking.
it is a tremendous addiction, and you will come up with many, many
excuses before you finally surrender to the fact that you are an
addict and DON'T REALLY WANT TO QUIT!i know....................... been there, done that!
hang in there, do what you want to do, but please STOP lying to
yourself.
Do you understand that people can have conflicting wants? Do you
understand that people can want to do something and not know how? What I'm
doing is no different from setting a quit date, like many smokers do, which
is actually recommended by many ex smokers on as3. What do you say to
someone who sets a quit date? Do you say "If you really wanted to quit
smoking, you'd do it now, not next week. You're just lying to yourself."
