Exactly. Im sure that what you do fits your definition of supportive. Im
not bothered by my fat enough to need a "personal trainer" like you seem

Exactly. Right now mainly I know I'm getting better at it because I
exercise every day, which is one of my tools for dealing with stress in
a healthier way. I'm also confronting people who [censored] me off, politely
but firmly, instead of bottling it up inside and quietly resenting them.
I've tried meditation too, but so far haven't had much success with it.
Can't make the brain be quiet, you know? I've toyed with the idea of
anti-anxiety medication, but I'm kind of philosophically against
    changing my personality with drugs.

Let's see if I can put it another way that maybe you will understand.

Making excuses = "Life is stressful, stress makes me eat too much, I
can't control it, please feel sorry for me, please change society to
    accommodate my fatness."

Not making excuses = "Life is stressful, when I am stressed I choose to
eat too much, with hard work I can change this behavior."

I am working hard at changing my behavior, changing how I choose to
react to stressful situations. It isn't as easy as I thought it would
be, it doesn't happen overnight, and I do falter. But slowly and
    surely
I am getting better at it.

I believe that you would need special training to teach math to kids

food problems, drug problems, etc. have a "coping with stress"

learning disabilities like dyslexia can overcome it and learn math and

Well I'd think my say so and perception would be enough<G> but if you want
specifics... Luna said (if I may paraphrase) to acknowledge a situation
empowers one to overcome it and possibly provides the tools to do so....
where-as JC replied out of context that "Now you're a victim of
disabilities" she neither implied nor stated such a reality....definitly it
was not germane to the discusion....in fact her message was one of success
not excuse.......The reason I said she won was simply that she made a good
point and he failed to respond in kind and instead resorted to a petty
insult.....since I was enjoying the exchange I thought it reflected poorly
on his abilities to maintain such a dialog.

Now you're a victim of disabilities.
You've got this all worked out.
    Good luck.

    Rod

revert to a personal attack instead of responding in context is your lack of
    skill not hers.

Many moons ago I did some small group teaching and for a semester I was

  11. Speaking of consistency, let's get this straight. In this thread you expect
me to go with what I "know what Luna means", yet in the other thread when I
ask you to do the same with palmer william, all of a sudden that doesn't
work any more. What's up with that?

Sometime it's difficult to be consistent. I'll try my best to be
consistent, but I'll also try not to kick myself when I fail but look
for ways to do better next round.

Many moons ago I did some small group teaching and for a semester I was
teaching same stuff 5 times a week. I have an inkling on how hard it is
to be consistent in teaching, it's way more difficult than being
    consistent in dieting.

I'm fairly consistent in my lesson preparation and delivery, to the
    extent
that I would say no lesson falls below an acceptable level. You should
    be
able to do the same thing within your diet.

You know what Luna means. She's saying she and a whole bunch of us in
here aren't as good as you in "butching up", so let it slide. Some
    days
we do better, so days we do worse. Can you say that you've performed
equally well in every lesson you taught throughout the whole school
    year?

Exactly. Im sure that what you do fits your definition of supportive.
Im not bothered by my fat enough to need a "personal trainer" like you
seem to volunteer to be. I was just curious about talking over some of
    the benefits of the diet.

Feel free to hang around and do so. You've apparently been around the
'Net long enough to know pretty quickly whom to ignore.

OMG you didnt go google "Gandalf Parker" did you?

Didn't need to. Yesterday's posts were enough for "...you've apparently
    been around..."
