The worst cycling tips in the world!

I can surge all day but I strugle with my time trialing ability.

Can sprinters recover from a hard surge?

Brian

I refuse to answer that on the grounds some TT rider may use it against me.

Question - If you ride/train at 100% all the time, when do your legs recover?

I agree there are 3 catagories of riders with some variations, but i think in general the training remains the same, train 75% of the time at 75% effort

What was the name of this thread again please ?

repeat after me, I'm not looking for advice, I'm not giving advice, I'm just gonna moon ya !

Some guy named Matt actually did that to the photo journos and got disqualified from a Tri event !

100% of what ? my intention ?

my intention is always at %100

dream alot, never do anything and when you finally do do something be half hearted about !!!!!

DQ'ed for mooning in Austrailia?
LOL so the advice is to make sure you show your awsome "Glutes" to any Journo that may be interested?

What suggests that I train throughout the week?
I race and train at 100% and have lots of rest days. I sound like a blugder till I beat those still sore from training.

I agree with buying a cheap/heavy bike and upgrading later, you will build strength and ability on the cheap bike and go well when you appreciate the upgrade. I'm still riding RSX100 with 7 speed in the local A Grade. They tell me its about the peadler not the bike.

When someone tells ya " its not about fitness or training"
"it's about money, who has the most expensive bike, and the best sponsors"

believe them !

You do?? Have more confidence in your ability.
It's so much fun dropping those people.

My (12month growth) hairly legs and 10kg rusty bike give them confidence, then with your hidden (by the hair) ability spit them out the back of the pack.

The bike does make a difference but a good heart and a head of determination can acheive more. My most effective goals to to beat the riders you refered to. The satisfaction is so much better than winning a race.

Can someone confirm that sprinters take longer to recover than workers?

Brian

IT'S A JOKE. A JOKE. ANY WAY.
I ONCE SAW A GUY TELL NATHAN VAILS TO GET ON ANOTHER RIDERS WHEEL. HE SAID HE WAS VERY FAST. IT TURNED OUT NELSON GOT ON THE SLOWEST WHEEL IN TOWN AND THE GUY WHO TOLD NELSON WHAT TO DO WON THE SPRINT. THAT WAS THE WORST CYCLING TIP EVER.

older austailians will like this one. See a tall slim fellow on an old Klein attack a scratch race all day and asume he is a noob/triathlete. Take pity on the poor fellow when he is cought 5 km from line. Being the best sprinter by a long ways, go tell the fellow to take your wheel and you will help him get a placeing. then too late find out that his name is Laurie Darcy (Olimpic medalist in sprints) and get you **** firmly handed to you by said fellow whom is grinning ear to bloody ear

You shood attack 100% early in the race, if you get caught it will make you stronger for the finish!!!!!!!!
The guy that told me this is someone I call personal talker. (a guy who talks to you, but all you ever get to say is yes or uh ha. And they don't really care about your opinion at all. I think they like hearing their own voice)
He also thinks hes a master tactician for some reason, yet he tries to time trial people off his wheel in a race. LOL

It builds your endurance which is how you beat the sprinters.

Again a good way to drop sprinters. If you can't train at race pace, what chance have you got on race day?

Brian

I just meant, in general, during the whole year, not necessarily a single training session. Of course, one needs to 'go hard'. But one needs to recover, as well.
