Quote of the day (from non-riders)

over the last week I've had a bunch of good comments I had a whole bus
full of people on my side when the driver tried to kick me off for
having a "bike" on the bus..... and I've run into quite a feqw people
who I'd never known to have seen me on my unicycle say "So you've
upgraded then?" or something to that affect, and one guy who says he
saw me riding my smaller wheel down this hill I frequent, stopped me as
I was getting off the bus and we chatted about unicycling for a while,
I also met a guy named Rob on a bus home on Friday after my girlfriends
dress rehearsal for her dance performance she had yesterday, and we
talked until he had to get off the bus (a good 20 minutes) about
unicycling and different odd hobbies and stuff, he was extremeley
impressed, I think he may end up buying one he sounded interested.

I was riding along the prom on the N36 (as I do) when I rode towards
this little old woman with a huge grin on her face. As I passed she
said something like "I remember them from when I was a child.
Unicycles".

I think I made somebody's day.

"look its the unicycle guy"
"yeah he rocks, he jumped on these massive pallets"
"awesome...."

then as i was jumping on a nice 75cm wall i got :

"wow that is high"
then as i just did it
"wow hes awesome"

ahaha well obviously i got the usual "doesnt it hurt your balls"
joke... but hell i thought it was a good day... as far as comments go

I passed two little kids, one asked, "You want some help?"

I said "No".

Then a later as I'm riding down a grassy hill, the same kids were there
and again asked, "You want some help?"

"No", I reply.

Then he says, "We'll then don't come crying when you need help."

what??

Today I passed 2 different bikers (total strangers) on the beach path at
two different times, and *both* referred to me as "Uni-Geezer!" That
was surprising, but I figure they must've seen me on youtube.

So, you're a celebrity now! You're probably the first communist
celebrity ever(well, if you don't count Lenin).

The comment I get the most is "keep practicing". Which is a really nice
comment, if you think about it: they want me to get better at it and
see me more. They wish me luck and perseverance. Great comment.

That might be. A lot of times when people ask questions and show
interest, I usually tell them *first* to check out this forum,
unicyclist.com, then UDC so they can see what's available, then,
lastly, I sometimes tell them that they can check out my videos by
searching "uni-Geezer" either on youtube or google.:D

PS: That reminds me, I haven't made a new one in a while! I have a few
ideas, so this weekend I think I'll do a new one! :) (It's really like
therepy to me!)

I listed the comments to my wife, and she made the observation, "Bet

I was riding out of the woods this weekend and there was a summer camp
of about 50 kids doing a barbeque. They started chanting the song "He
is Great!" Obviously sung in Hebrew, It is a common song that is sung
in Israel when people are impressed with someone. Then one of the kids
shouts "Brotha, you are in the woods not in a parking lot!" I proceded
to jump up onto a picnic table did a few moves then jumped off and rode
away to tons of cheers! Sometimes you actually do hear something other
than the "Where is you other Wheel!"

I got this from a WPC as I was riding home from the pub after having a
few.
