Frame question

My wife has a Mixte frame of that very material, very much gas pipe
IMO. Depends rather on what it costs and what you want it for. Remember
a heavy frame will always be heavy, a heavy bike can be made lighter.

It's relatively cheap unbutted steel. I had one, rode beautifully.
Probably below Reynolds 501.

I'd look for something else. Peugeot made 531 framed high end bikes
during that era.

Thanks for the advice, I'd never heard of "Carbolite 103" frames
before, I will carry on looking for something in more than likely 531.
It just has to be at the right end of my budget, which is on the small
side of small. just now, but I'm sure something will turn up 🙂
