Discovery in disarray.... ?

Well, this thread is bound to be revived so I might as well do it.

Before today there was very little basis for an arguement that Discovery where in disarray, just WBT having some fun and goading the DC fans. Today its different. To day Discovery, with four possible top 5 contenders in their ranks firmly sucked so badly they are going to have to work hard to salvage anything from this years tour. Ah well, seems that the team was all about a man called Lance after all.
Yeah, they're really in disarray in the Tour. I didn't expect them to do much, but they look horible. Their only hope is a stage win, but I'm not sure they have that in them.

OR!

"Because you had a bad day
You're taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don't know
You tell me don't lie
You work at a smile and you go for a ride
You had a bad day
The camera don't lie
You're coming back down and you really don't mind
You had a bad day
You had a bad day"

Today the race finished on its slowest schedule. Yet for the last 7 years we've seen the same team that imploded today romp up every climb, especially the last, ahead of the fastest schedule. Wonder what could have caused such a drmatic turnaround in their fortunes? :p

Very very good.

what can you say ? even I'm lost for words.... Michael Boogard beat the entire discovery team ! It really makes you wonder what was making team Disco tick in the last 7 years... how can Hincapie and co ride on the front of the peleton in every single stage and then after the Spanish doping affair blows open they can't even hang onto the bunch on the second climb of the day ! You do the math…. Its so obvious what was going on its not funny…. Here's to the end of Discovery's two speed cycling !

I'm not a conspiracy-minded kinda gal, however this is a bit shocking. To me this is more head scratching than seeing T-Mobile riders performing so well in the ITT. In relative terms it seems that Disco is performing more poorly than T-Mobile is performing better this year...if that makes sense. Could it be that Lance's force of will drove the rest of the team? I mean, the guy did not want to lose, wouldn't/couldn't contemplate it. Maybe when a team has such an overwhelmingly commanding leader for so long, maybe it messes with the other guys' heads enough that when they don't have that leader they fall into disarray?

Pardon me for correcting your spelling but your last sentence should read...

"Ah well, seems that the team was all about a man called Ferrari after all.

After the "puerto affair" is Ferrari still on the payroll?

No.

Although the DC PR machine would have you believe that their 1999-2005 tenure was down to hard work, sweat, honesty........blah blah blah.

......and would therefore be open to any means possible to win, methinks.

Perhaps. But very unlikely.

The answer to this complex riddle is more straightforward than that, Syd.

Lim, I need answers to 3 questions quick:

1. Got one hell-of-aw crisis going on in the Middle East. What do I do to rectify?
2. My Nephew asked me this question: "Uncle, If in the beggining there was nothing, then how was there a beggining". I need answer fast
3. Last but not least...... What are the winning numbers to the lottery?

:D :D

Seems to me to be a problem in Dr. Ferrari's supply getting through to Discovery. Afterall, Mazzenlini and Sinkewitz seem to have received their dope. I expect we will see marked improvements the day after the next rest day.

Also, wonder who Landis and Menchov use for Doctors. Does Landis still use Ferrari after his Discovery days?

1.Ignore it and hope that it goes away.

2.Can't answer that one.

3.Why ? Is your palm itchy??

Not bad..... I'll split it with you if you answer number 3 correctly. Deal ?
