  1. "Correct. The definition of data is not static is is up to the supplier
*and* the reader to determine if it meets their criteria."

And thus is the whine of every quack selling snake oil, "I am an authority
only to myself and those who believe me". Every one I gave my wonderful
potion was cured of aids. Now we have both data and science.

  2. Quoted message said:

It ain't the data, it is the pretention of science and the plea for
relevance and recognition that is a problem.

You're going to have to make up your minds. Roger Zoul claims he does
not see any data in his attempt to wish the data away. You now claim
that your problem is not with the data but with the motive behind the
    data gathering.

Perhaps you both can come back to this discussion when you have reached
a consensus to present a stronger unified front in your futile attempt
    to overcome the truth.

Meanwhile, I stand ready to document the first person to gain weight
despite eating less per the 2PD Approach but in truth, no one should be
expecting this any more than one would expect cars to be replaced by
    perpetual motion machines.

It still amazes me how there are folks (i.e. Roger Zoul and "wondering"😉
who seem to believe that they can gain weight despite eating less (i.e.
create mass/bulk out of thin air) and yet they seem unable to believe
our Creator, our heavenly Father, can do exactly that (i.e. create
mass/bulk out of thin air). This again illustrates how undiscerning
people will choose to believe what they want to believe even if it is
    far removed from the truth.

History, fiction and predictions are all entangled into the same event,

    Actually, they are not.

History is what has been made by God.

Fiction is what has been made by man.

True predictions (prophecy) are preknowledge of His plan.

There is no entanglement. God sorts this all out.

    Truth is simple.

You are informed in the decision you will choose to make. Such is the
    work being done here.

It is written in Ephesians 2:

10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

All is a waste of time until you find the way to eternal life with the
Creator of the universe. When you do, there is no waste of time because
there will be an infinite amount of it. Walking about aimlessly
thinking it is *your* time, *your* money, *your* lot, *your* labor,
*your* profit, and *your* power that you are using is tantamount to
    self-worship.

For Christ lights up the way through John 14:

6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes
to the Father except through me..."

This bring us back again to the following very simple decision tree for
the untruthful folks such as yourself, neighbor, who have chosen to walk
    in the "dark":

    (1) Accept Christ.
    Risk: Nothing.

Benefits: Salvation, purposeful life, eternal life, unimaginable riches
    in God's eternal kingdom.

    (2) Reject Christ.
Risk: Eternal separation from God. Eternal torment of your soul by
    satan.

    Benefits: Nothing.

Again, one has to conclude that those (ie you, Carey, Steve, Bob, Zee,
Frank, Hawki, Rolando, Don et al) who would reject Christ have not
    thought out their decision *logically*.

Would suggest you cast a glance at Bob Pastorio as a special example of
untruthfully eloquent self-worship (BTW, Bob remains in my prayers out
of Christian love) who is being driven to madness by my ignoring him
    (http://makeashorterlink.com/?V29A236C9 and more recently
http://makeashorterlink.com/?V25D312E9). All this power belongs to God
who has judged Bob Pastorio with His Word
(http://makeashorterlink.com/?G33F51E69). All praises to Him, Whom I
love with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength :-)

You will be in my prayers, dear neighbor whom I love, in Christ's holy
    name.

May you accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, someday, so that
you too will escape satan's rule and torment of your soul after you die.

Please do consider the following as your logic should dictate before it
    is too late:

    http://makeashorterlink.com/?I22222129

(Please note that God truly made this special link describing that He is
the great "I am" and that His message is as simple as the number 2 which
is a number between 1 to 9 and reminds us of His 2 commandments, the 2
arms of the cross, the 2nd part of the Trinity, the 2 finger sign of the
Prince of Peace [who remains *V*ictorious over death and satan], and the
2PD Approach. Let it not ever be written that Christ did not make His
presence known here on Usenet :-)

You scurrilous [censored]. You hypocritical fraud.

You say that it's just usenet - playtime - and shouldn't be taken
seriously then you set about to deliberately cause harm in real life.

You are utterly immoral, dishonorable and without scruples. As much a

You are both too contemptible to describe, with malice towards all...

  8. Uh, I am not sure what is happening on this group, but I saw some stuff
about weight loss. I read an article today on this new site that I
    found... www.dailynewscentral.net

It seems your choice is to continue to walk in the dark. That choice
remains an informed one. Such is the work that I have been called to
    do.

It is written in Ephesians 2:

10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

All is a waste of time until you find the way to eternal life with

    the

    Quoted message said:

Creator of the universe. When you do, there is no waste of time

    because

    Quoted message said:

there will be an infinite amount of it.

No one

    comes

    Quoted message said:

to the Father except through me..."

This bring us back again to the following very simple decision tree

    for

    Quoted message said:

the untruthful folks such as yourself, Don, who have chosen to walk

    in

    Quoted message said:

    the "dark":

    (1) Accept Christ.
    Risk: Nothing.

Benefits: Salvation, purposeful life, eternal life, unimaginable

    riches

    Quoted message said:

    in God's eternal kingdom.

    (2) Reject Christ.
Risk: Eternal separation from God. Eternal torment of your soul by
    satan.

    Benefits: Nothing.

Again, one has to conclude that those (ie you, Carey, Steve, Bob,

    Zee,

    Quoted message said:

Frank, Hawki, Rolando et al) who would reject Christ have not thought
    out their decision *logically*.

Would suggest you cast a glance at Bob Pastorio as a special example

I think he was referring to the recent news stories reporting research
showing a difference in the production of the two hormones which either
promote or not the feeling of having had enough food. It appeared in
    several places, here is one:

    http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=17420

The less you sleep, the more you may gain. So say Stanford University
School of Medicine researchers, who found in a recent study that sleep
loss leads to higher levels of a hormone that triggers appetite, lower
levels of a hormone that tells your body it's full and an increased
    body mass index."

  13. "Yes. Increased appetite/hunger leads to eating more for those who are
not limiting their intake (ie watching how much they are eating)."

I think you fail to see the full picture. With differences in sleep there
are different levels of the counter balancing leptin and ghrelin. There
is a great deal of research being done on this part of the weight status
question just now. In this research there is a 15 percent difference based
on the sleep part alone for the production of these hormones. Just saying
that one who eats more will gain weight because they are hungary is a bit
of a tautology. What this research shows is that for the same anount of
food but with sleep differences and differential hormones, two different
people can have significant differences in the hunger, or not, impulse.

  15. All I did was mention that I had a disappointing diet week. It's amazing
how this discussion digressed and evolved (devolved?). 🙂

    doug

  16. " It is not the feeling of hunger that causes the weight gain. Indeed
the study underscores the fact that the amount of hunger one may feel does
not help one determine when and how much to eat. Here, folks should sleep
instead of eating more since what they lack is actually sleep and not
energy stores." Of course not and nothing was said to that effect. But
feeling hungary or disappearence of same is related to what people are
likely to consume amount wise. The hormone feedback loop misleads when
levels are abnormal and obscures correct tracking of amount of food eaten
and hunger as signal. In research where the hormones are prevented
getting to the brain, or in people where little does naturally, they will
continue to eat because the feedback never or weakly appears. This was the
findings of recent research showing that in very obese people the hormone
doesn't get to the brain but when weight is lost, especially belly fat
which is a source of these hormones, normal signally to the brain resumes.
In people where level corresponds well to amount consumed people stop
eating more in accordance with energy needs and weight is not problem.
This research shows that sleep status is also related to levels
    independent of other factors.

If you choose to befriend hunger because you are not afraid of it (No
one has ever died from hunger. Indeed, folks dying from starvation are
not hungry) and see it for what it is, a beneficial indicator of overall
good health and energy balance, in the setting of knowing that you are
eating an adequate amount (ie the 2PD Approach), you will be in a
position to choose not to eat more despite the increased hunger from the
"stress" of fatigue, sleep deprivation, pain, or anxiety. It is easier
to make this choice when you recognize that there are many forces at
work to make you believe that when you feel the least bit hungry that
"you feel like you are starving" (quoting friends and family) or that
"you gotta eat" (quoting a commercial).
