Yes, I see your point. I think of it in terms of a funnel..... Whereas 'organized medicine' starts at the wide end, runs tests to rule out what 'isn't' and narrows in on the cause to determine the treatment.....'alternative medicine' starts at the narrow end, adding treatment after treatment to fill the funnel hoping to cover the cause along the way.
