  1. I'm not in W.W. but I seem to like what I know about it. I have trouble trying to find a low-fat
breakfast. I've heard it's best to eat Breakfast like a king, Lunch like a queen, and Dinner like a
prince, but I don't have very many options for breakfast. I like breakfast foods, but they all seem
fatty, pancakes with syrup, eggs with sausage, or else bland, cereal, grits, oatmeal.. what do you
guys typically eat for breakfast on WW?

    Thanks Robin

  2. I'm not on WW but on a similar program. I vary my breakfast everyday of the week. On Monday I have 1
egg, 1/2 an english muffin with sugar free jelly,
    3/4 c mandarin oranges and 1 c chocolate milk. On Tuesday I have 1/2 c cereal with 1 c milk and 1 c
    tomato juice. On Wednesday I make a smoothie with 1/2 c orange juice, 3/4 c fruit, and 1/2 c
yogurt and 1/2 an english muffin. On Thursday I eat 1 Fat Free Waffle with a little light syrup, 1
c chocolate milk and 1 egg. On Friday I make another Smoothie with 1/2 c orange juice, 1/2 c
yogurt and 1 banana. Saturday and Sunday just depend on my husband and kids.

I know those seem like small breakfasts but I have my plan spread out so I eat six times a day and
normally I don't eat that much for breakfast so that's a lot for me. If it helps anybody I actually
have my entire week planned (every meal) I'd be happy to post the whole thing. Let me know if it
    would help anybody!!

    Hope this helps Robin!!

  3. I like cereal for breakfast. I normally have Frosted mini wheats (1 cup for 3 points) plus 1/2c skim
or 1% milk for another point, plus 1 point of fruit. Total of 5 points. Recently I found Kashi's
GoLean cereal. Same amount of points but lower in carb and higher in protein. I like sweet and
    crunchy breakfasts. <g>.

My other alternatives are 2 egg substitutes plus cheese omlet with 2 slice of LF toast with a dab of
    LF margarine.

  4. On weekdays, I keep it simple. Cheerios (about 2/3 cup Berry Burst) and All Bran Buds (about 1/3 cup
    - which has 14 g fiber). I used to just eat all-bran, but I like Cheerios better, and by combining
the two I get the fiber I need and the flavor I want. Add 2/3 C fortified 1% milk, and it fast,
easy, and filling, for about 5 points. On weekends I might have instant oatmeal with some bran buds
thrown in. For a treat, I might try scrambled eggs made with EggBeaters with a bit of cheese thrown
in, and maybe some low fat sausage (I like the kind made with rice more than the turkey kind). For a
big treat, low fat waffles with a touch of whipped butter and real maple syrup (why waste points on
the fake stuff?) or maybe some strawberries with a bit of whipped cream. Mostly, though, cereal.

  5. Breakfast has been a real challenge for me. For years, for as long as I can remember, breakfast
meant poptarts. Sometimes on weekends, breakfast was brownies. And a big (16 oz) glass of milk, and
coffee. OK, I didn't start coffee until age 16, but poptarts have been a part of my routine probably
    since they were first marketed.

Now, with 1 poptart = 4 pts, and 2 = 8.5, I can't bear to use my points that way. I've been having
frozen waffles, lite syrup, 8 oz milk and coffee (6 pts). Recently, I've become exceedingly bored of
that, and I've been eating one english muffin, with cream cheese on one half, and apple butter on
the other, milk and coffee (also 6 pts).

Since the weather has turned colder, I've also been having a bowl of cream of wheat or oatmeal.
Those are lower points breakfasts, but leave me satisfied until lunchtime.

But I long for the yummy goodness of poptarts! One does not satisfy me, and I spend the rest of the
morning hungry. I don't want to eat 2, for fear it will lead down a dark path... ;-)

  6. During the week I eat a turkey sandwich each morning. I use Natures Own 100% whole wheat bread, 1
serving of any of the thin sliced turkey breast lunch meats and mustard. This is very low in
    points and fat.

On the weekends, I like to saute onion, peppers, potatoes, and broccoli. Then add egg beaters. I eat
    toast with this.

  7. It is my theory that eating anything gets you started. I generally did not
eat breakfast as it used to nauseate me so I started out really slow. dry
toast for a while, then two point bars with my coffee. Now I am up to a two
point bar or pria bar and a peice of fruit. Keep in mind I eat about every
two or three hours so ymmv, good luck, Lee

here it works out as a nice filling fruity start to the day for c 1.5 points

  9. I am, by natural inclination, a brunch eater! In the bad old teaching
days, I'd have a cheese roll and a Mars bar at morning break, no lunch,
a sticky bun or something similar at about 4 pm, and dinner at about 8
pm. After DH developed the diabetes (Type 1 at the tender age of 42!),
our eating habits became more regular - having tha baby helped! Now I'm
doing WW I try hard to eat breakfast: it's 9:45, so time I had
something... My choices are usually something like:

a small bowl of porridge, made with water and served with a little milk and sugar: 2.5 points (I
like it made the traditional Scots way, with water and a little salt) 2 slices of wholemeal toast
and a scrape of marmalade: 3 points 2 Wheetabix, a little milk and a tiny sprinkle of brown
    sugar: 3 points

I often follow this with fruit: an apple is half a point, a banana 1 point.

This is about as much as I can deal with until mid day, when I have a sandwich and more fruit or
    a yoghurt.

  10. My breakfasts vary a lot, dependent on time allowed, if I'm hungry ... heck, sometimes if I even
think about it. <g> I don't follow the method you suggest, dinner is always my heaviest/largest
meal. It has worked for me, so I'm not planning on changing now. LOL

Breakfast sometimes is just light toast/sugar free jam (or whole wheat english muffin) and fruit ,
other times I only have fruit. I also like the fantastic brand oatmeals in the individual cups - 3
points. If I have the time and am hungry I will make an egg substitue omelet filled with tons of
veggies (tomatoes, mushrooms, zuchini, onions) and a slice of fat free cheese for 1.5 points. Add
fruit for another point, toast for another point ... maybe even a morningstar sausage patty for
another point. That is a huge breakfast for me though, and usually results in lunch being a cup of
    soup and fruit.

  11. When I first started this, I would have a piece or two of fruit, and some peanut butter on
toast/english muffin/crackers. The peanut butter really helped me get to the lunch hour without
    getting hungry.

I don't find that I need the peanut butter anymore, and I just have an apple, a pear, or a banana

I tend to be stingy with my points early in the day, and have a nice satisfying dinner later, maybe
    a late-night snack, too.

  13. I have the same problem with poptarts. I remember a comedy routine that Elen DeGeneres used to do a
while back about how she buys a box of poptarts and winds up eating them all. She says, "one isn't
enough, so you have to eat the other, then you're still hungry so you eat another, but you have to
finish off that package, then you notice that the box is half empty so you think, I might as well
have another and then you get to the last package and you say, oh, they're almost finished..." What
I would do is have some chocolate poptarts for a midnight snack, so that's even worse because then I
don't burn the calories off.. I stopped that, luckily.

I tend to be stingy with my points early in the day, and have a nice satisfying dinner later,
    maybe a late-night snack, too.

That's what I do as well. It's worked for me so far, so I see no need to change.

looks so like a sanitary towel!

    So there!
