I like 'em! :-)
And I like my own prepared from dry a bit better than the can as I seem
to be able to get them more tender. They are easy to use and very satisfying.
Enjoy!

I like 'em. I've been finding lately that regular beans don't do as
much of a number on my BG as they used to, so instead of using all black
soy beans in my chili, I'm using 1/2 and 1/2 regular beans and soy beans.Priscilla

fiberball bullets.I do at least a 24 hour pre-soak with frequent water changes.
Putting them into a screen colander in a bowl makes this easy.
I change the water at least 4 times. Prevents spoilage. They swell that way, then I put them in the pressure cooker with 2 cups
of broth per 1 cup of beans, bring up to pressure and let pressure for
20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool, then you are done.Other ingredients can be added at the same time so it can all cook
together. Last time I added some diced pork roast and some pre-cooked
bacon, 1 chopped onion, garlic powder, salt free lemon pepper and just a
little white pepper powder. I used a canned vegetable broth for that. They were divine......
Beef or chicken broth is also good.
Cheers!

Yep! :-)
Pre-soak is the key.
I pressure cook tho' instead of boiling.

quote:
Soybeans can have black hilum and or black seed coat (hull). Black
soybeans
refers to black seed coat. The seed coat is a thin layer that surrounds
the
cotyledon. The cotyledon of "yellow" soybeans and "black" soybean is
yellow
and
has similar chemical/nutritional composition. Dehulled black and yellow
soybean will have the same composition and color. Food made from whole
black
soybean (including the seed coat) will be slightly darker than food
made using
whole yellow soybean. Black soybeans are not used to make tofu because
tofu
is white in color and the black seed coats would cause the tofu to be
slightly
darker in color.unquote

Soybeans are NOT real food.
All beef franks are real hot dogs. Soy franks are not real
hot dogs. Therefore soy beans are not real food. Chuckle.Regular white soybeans may be used as filler and as cattle
feed, but that doesn't make them completely fake. And the
topic is about black soybeans which are a different breed.
