If you want to see justice look at a photo of Hinault at the
finish line of the '85TdF St. Etienne stage. His Ray Bans broke
    his nose after he crashed.

    Dumbass -

Hinault actually looked cool as hell with those glasses. He was the
only rider who could pull them off. Hell, he even looked cool after
the crash - easily better than any of us rbr dumbasses has ever looked
    on our best day.

What about when he used to wear that silly little
sweat band around his head. Looked like a
    wannabe tennis player.

Fignon wore the same one, must have been a
    team Renault-elf thing.

Cyrille was glad to have Hinault leaving for
team la Vie Claire, why on earth Bernard Tapie
would have him is beyond me.

Mainly for having a rider on his team that was
known to associate with Doctor Maigret.

As Carl has noted previously, guilt by association is problematic,
    perhaps especially in cycling.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, however.

    Can you say "Dorky!!"

He looks about 500 times cooler than your average cyclist. You gotta
do a lot better than that for 'dorky.'

Admittedly the cycling cap over his hairnet helmet looks a bit odd (a little like
he's wearing a plastic shower cap), but that still looks way better than those
windshield sized sunglassses Lemond has on.

I'd like to get one of those nice stripey jerseys, though.

Are you old enough to go to Fattie Masters Worlds?
They hand out lots of awards there, just like the
    Special Olympics. Everyone's a winner.

"Fattie Master World" sounds like a theme park.

    Where's Yul Brynner?

The Badger looked great on a bike, but I remember Maurizio Fondriest looking
    quite stylish when he rode.

I've studied the tape of the '86 TdF and the way Hinault
rode over the Croix-de-Fer and up Alpe d'Huez during
stage 18 shows he wasn't playing fair with Greg.

Greg normally didn't have mechanical troubles during
time trials, but he did that year during the St Etienne
TT. Cathy always claimed someone did 'something'.

Also in 1986, during the Classico RCN in Colombia
Hinault beat Herrera in the final TT, that was at an
    elevation of 2,600 meters!

    Something up with that!

Patrick Gagnier was Hinault's masseur during that
Tour of Colombia, I've been trying to get in touch
with him in case he's willing to talk.

    Where's Yul Brynner?

Nah, no Yul Brynner. No Kevin Costner. In this movie, Fattie Master
World is yet another in a long line of vacation destinations for
National Lampoon and the Griswolds (remember, they visited "Wally World"
in the original). Chevy Chase is just about the right age for the part,
if he's still alive. I'd prefer someone younger and hotter than Beverly
D'Angelo as his wife, however. Heather would be good, or maybe Angelina
    Jolie.
