I have decided to wait out the 6 weeks, so by then I will have about $450-$500 saved up, and I will be able to buy a really nice uni. I can ride my current one until the June 29, but then I have to go without a uni for 6 weeks. Will I have to learn everything over agin when I return, or will I retain a little hint of riding ability?

I've managed to go at least 8 weeks without riding and do most everything again after a few minutes, so don't worry about losing skill.
