Not if they ride too, then they don'd mind so much when you go off

was a bunch ride, the weather was good, and I needed the k's ...

Stu, are we having a sendoff party for you? 🙂

(Actually she is a cyclist as well and has 2 bikes - a roadie and an

No wonder you're in the clear - she's a cyclist!

but that means finding the funds for twice as much biketech.
You might manage to avoid getting twice as much dudtech, so there's
    some savings to be had.

Forego the dual car like most people seem to view as a 'must have' and
another bike or set of bikes seems cheap.
Pick a partner who rides the same size bikes as yourself, only buy
unisex styled bikes (that means no fugly drop tubes and no baskets!
Tassles are fine) and you're set! 🙂
Marry rich. Inherit. Win tatts. So many options 😄

Hang on, you're talking about a plan that would decrease the number of bikes in the household? One bike between two people? Noooo.

The aim of the game is to increase the number of bikes.

One wife, 2 daughters, no 'ladies' bikes, no baskets.

But maybe, we need a retro ladies bike...must keep an eye on the next hard rubbish collection for something to restore.

Wait.. this all started with you "couplers" (married riders) complaining
that you can't buy any new bikes or bike bits. I was just trying to find
a way to get 'some' bikes in the house. What I was thinking was, if
there is a limit of 2, you buy yourself a roadie and her an mtb. Because
you are the same size, you can ride either.

    Quoted message said:

    Of course.

The correct number of bikes to own is n + 1,
where n = the number of bikes you currently own.

I like the cut of your jib. Speaking of jib - who's seen Thor Wixom's
"JIB" street mtb film? Very cool..

Why - other than following the n+1 rule? Planning on entering some ss
    races? 🙂

A limit of 2 bikes in the house? That is not even open to contemplation. There are 4 of us in the house and we have 9 bikes (not counting frames, wheels, parts that could make up more). The oldest (ie me) has the most, as it should be. 😄

One of the girl's bikes (a nice little 24" wheel 15 speed MTB) is about to go to a new home as she has outgrown it and is now on a full size MTB. (Must remember to stop feeding the little buggers). Then we will have 8. Anyway, giving away bikes to friends accumulates good karma (I hope). 🙂

Okay I guess you're not the person I'm talking about. If you are happy
with how many bikes you have.. cool.. there's no problem. Except you
really do need that 850g Cervelo carbon jobbie.. gotta go shopping in
    style man! :P

I gave my bmx to a special school.. but then I put some others on ebay.
Does selling via ebay kill karma points?

......Karma Karma Karma Karma Karma Chameleon.......

noting earlier post - if I can get that 850g Cervelo frame (in a 58cm size) for $50 or find one being thrown out, I'll have it. No, wait, I'll have two. 🙂

cat and 4 chooks? - Nah, we have 2 cats and no chooks. I must have read the instructions wrongly when the man with the clipboard brought them around.

I watched the Stepford Wives last night - there's a movie to watch as a married couple.

The correct number of bikes to own is n + 1,

Does this formula break down when n is small? Because for me, I think
    it is currently n+pi.
