ED ... Ed ... Ed ... I should be thankful that you continue to reading
my messages and respond??? Your delusional, Dolan. You must have
skippe your med dagain.

TRANSLATION: Jim would you please advance this conversation (read move
on to another taopc) since it is obvious that I cannot advance let
alone win this argument and I need for you to spare me the public
embarrassment.

FACT: This thread was never been about logic or debate, at least not
from Ed Dolan's peculiar perspective. In the past, Ed wrote ... "I
will stand by anything I say and defend it no matter how outrageous it
might first appear. All I ever want to do is to defeat and humiliate
you". Having failed to refute the facts I presented ... having failed
to address or counter the argument I submitted ... having failed to
defeat or humiliate me, the defeated and humiliated Mr. Dolan was
strategically reduced to defending his unsubstantiated opinions with
mere fiction ... a hyperbolized value assessment of his errant
opinions. Now this certainly meets Ed's "no matter how outrageous"
criteria I'd have to say. Ed's motto should be ... If you can't dazzle
'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with ********! In the past, Ed also
wrote ... "There is always substance in my posts no matter how I craft
them". This is a fallible and preposterous postulate at best. For
instance, this particular thread was a showcase for Ed's obstinance and
a conduit for opinions lacking in the very "substance" that Ed asserts
can always be found in his posts. A single word can best summarize
much of what he struggled to scribble ... ********. Enough said!!!

AP - Chicago, Illinois

The Chicago Police Department Punctuation Task Force raided the Forest
Glen neighborhood home of James McNamara, based on a tip from a Usenet
cycling group reader identified as "Johnny ReBike". Mr. McNamara was
arrested for exceeding the legal limit of four ellipses per paragraph.
A statement from the District Attorney's office indicated that
additional charges relating to putting leading spaces in front of the
ellipses may be brought as the investigation proceeds.

How lame!!! Do you really expect me to submissively become your
scapegoat??? You're just never to blame are you, or at least you are
unwilling to be held accountable when you are obviously to blame???
The bottom line is that I tenaciously attempted to ADVANCE this
conversation by challenging your errant opinions. I persisted in
insisting that you to debate the issues, rather than parrot opinions,
but your failure to accept the challenge resulted in the thread's
stagnation ... stagnation for which ONLY you can be held responsible.
No matter what spin you vainly attempt to put on this, your opinions
still remain unsubstantiated ... my arguments still remain unchallenged
.... my logic still remains to be refuted, and your attempt to redirect
blame is as pitiful as were your lackluster "skills" of engagement.
You failed miserably GRATE one. I know that. You know that. Everyone
who followed this thread knows that and nothing you can add will change
any of that. It is time for you to limit you losses and call it done
and over with.

Real Cute. You just must have too much time on you hands. Regardless,
speaking of time and liquid nutrition, I think I'll pour myself a beer.
That would make me a barbarian in Dola'ns eyes, but then again I had a
glass of wine earlier. That should confuse him as to what camp I blong
in. A song comes to mind here ... Two faces have I...

That should have read "Dolan's" and "belong" and "in what camp I
belong". Just thought I'd make the corrections before Tom did. -

Jim, your writing is a mess. No one is reading you and even I find it
tedious.

Long paragraphs will not cut it on Usenet. You need to break everything down
in order to make it easy for the casual reader to follow what it is that you
are saying. Note how neither I nor Tom (the two best writers on this group)
go on and on like you do.

You are hung up on words and seem not to have a glimmer of what ideas are in
play. This thread never had any substance to begin with except what I gave
it. To want to debate over nothing is absurd. Most of these threads on
Usenet do not have much substance and are mostly about a play of humor and
wit. For you not to realize this is a major deficiency on your part. You
need to lighten up and get with the program.

These posts to Usenet are always and forever about nothing but opinions,
opinions, opinions. Not to realize this marks you as an ignoramus of the
first rank. Those who pretend Usenet is about anything else are very funny
creatures indeed.

The fact is that my opinions are superior to everyone else's. Opinions can
be just chock full of substance as mine always are. I will consider others'
opinions if and when they make any sense, and who knows, I may even adopt
them for my own.

The real trick is to express your opinions with some force and, if possible,
some wit. Try it sometime yourself, why don't you?

Nobody gets up 4 o'clock in the morning unless he has a very long commute
ahead of him. You are a single guy and there is no need for you to live way
out in the boondocks of some suburb. Live close in even if it costs more.
Time is money and anyone who wastes it commuting when he doesn't have to is
a blooming idiot.

I lived in New York City (Brooklyn) for many years in my long lost youth and
I always managed to live within a 5 minute walk to work. Hells Bells, I
would get up at 8:45 and be to work by 9:00. I don't believe it ever gets

And this is just another one of your errant opinions ... this one an
opnion about Usenet and opinions. You said it best ... "I frankly do
not have the slightest idea what newsgroups are all about". Since you
admittedly don't have the slighest idea what newsgroups are all about,
why bother to offer an opinion regardiing what they are about??? The
conundrum continues.

> Not to realize this marks you as an ignoramus of the

Not to realize that Usenet can and has been otherwise and not to
realize that your opinion are subjective personal sentiment subect to
error, marks you as an ingnoramous who is beyond category..

> Those who pretend Usenet is about anything else are very funny
> creatures indeed.

Those wo pretend that Usenet is ALL about opinion are funner still. "I
frankly do not have the slightest idea what newsgroups are all about"
.... Ed Dolan. The conundrum continues..

Slow down ther eold-timer. This is an opiinion stated as fact about
opinion. Follw me??? Your opinions are superior to everyone else's
was emphatically stated as fact. You are confusing FACT with OPINION,
once again. Concan the Librarian, even you should know that the two
are not synonymous. An opinion is a personal belief or sentiment that
is not founded on positive proof; an unsubstantiated conclusion. What
you have stated here is basically an opinoin regarding your opinion and
an opinion does not a fact make. A fact is a concept whose truth has
been or can be proved. You have yet to prove that your opinons are
superior to everyone else's and to even make such a statement is
indicative of your outlandish arrogance..

> The real trick is to express your opinions with some force and, if possible,

Oh I think force was not the issue. I stated my argument with
forcefully. What does with have to do with the equation??? Math hs no
wit. I repeat ... my math remains valid and your assertion remains
uncorroborated and unfounded. Regardless of the length of stay, the
exact same mass is transported the exact same distance, burning the
exact same amount of jet fuel. No more of earth's resources are wasted
on a short trip than on a longer one. You are really stubborn and thick
headed ... one of your less than
endearing trademarks. You never challenged my arguent when I
challenged your assertions (read opiinions). You did not, and cannot,
refute my argument. Opinion are not synonymous with refutation. You
are long overdue to lick you wounds, put your tail between your legs
and skulk on out of here.

I drink Beer from the bottle [1]. This has the advantages of less
agitation of the Beer (and therefore less foam generated) and no glass
to wash when you are done. A side benefit is you can entertain yourself
using the bottle as a resonator.

[1] Real Beer comes in bottles, not cans.

Real beer comes straight from the tap and the barkeep has to wash the
glass. Bottles can be a good second chance, but only when brown (ask
if you don't know why) and a can is a synonym for a toilet. - Jim

I presented facts in the form of an argument. Opinions reagrdless of
how expressed pale in comparison. How's that for wit ... twit???

When you've run clean out of content (and you obvioulsy have), you just
senselessly repeat yourself hoping that no one will even notice and to
think you are fond of referring to others as a one note Johnny. If you
hadn't offfered up your unsubstantiates opinions, or if you at least
had the fortitude to defend your errant assertions, I wouldn't have had
to jump in youf ****, but as you are fond of saying, I was just doing a
bit of housekeeping ... not allowing your outrageous remarks to go
uncontested. A few observations are in order here...

Readers, Usenet newsgroups serve as Ed Dolan's chosen, but constraining
social communication conduit. He is a Usenet newsgroup "homesteader".
ARBR has become his cyber-playpen ... a showcase for his unruly ego. A
geriatric juvenile, Ed's social interaction skills can best be
described as vestigial and his fatuous, loquacious drivel are his
cyber-trademark. Disenfranchised from reality, this lonesome loon is
possessed by an unrestrained and enormously distended sense of
self-importance. He is a cantankerous, misguided, quintessential fool
.... an incorrigible curmudgeon intoxicated by his own flatulence.
Usenet newsgroups, and ARBR in particular, are the source from which he
garners his sense of accomplishment and self-esteem, the source from
which he derives meaning for his pathetic, shallow existence. It must
really suck to be head swollen ... Ed Dolan!!!

The only one-note Johnny here is Jim McNamara who doe not know how to be
anything other than a blood sucking leech and a stalker, that most pitiful
of all Usenet creatures. I actually feel sorry for him. It would be better
if he were a troll - which he is not far from being in any event. But he
only trolls me. Go figure!
