I used about 4 pounds of potatoes and 5 heads, yes, 5 *heads* of roasted garlic. The hubby is still eating potatoes and loving them. He's a garlic fiend, though. And, again, I roasted the garlic in the skins with a bit of olive oil so the garlic came out all mushy like butter.

So you like a little potato in your garlic? 🙂

I love garlic and so does TFM. Thing is, it doesn't talk back to him the way it does me. :~)

I Am serious. If you like garlic you must try Bagna Cauda. I have sent the recipe at the beginning of my entry in this NG. I have posted also photo. Bagna Cauda is a garlic and anchovies sauce. You eat it with crudité (raw vegetables). Cheers pan

It's the anchovies that would do me in in this recipe, Pandora. Thanks, but I'll pass. :~)

WhY? Don't you like anchovies under oil? Pan
Nope! Wish I did, but they're a little too fishy for me. Plus, I can't get past the bones.

Yes, I know, but I didn't have time to drive up there. It's nearly 40 miles from where I live. I did get to the new store once, however, since you told me about it some time ago. I almost needed a bank loan. :-) This is *not* a good place for me to hang out!
Oh, don't I know it!!!! I have gotten so I don't plan on getting out of there with spending just a little. I know how I am, and I usually come away with a ton of spices, to the tune of quite a few dollars. I usually end up getting a few new things to try...and usually after I have left town, I discover something else I should have gotten.
I'm **almost** grateful that Penzeys doesn't yet have a NorCal location. It could bode ill for my pocketbook ;-)
