micron said:the peloton was very apathetic - there was just no reaction to the Landis attack until it was too late, as if they really couldn't be bothered.
One question - isn't Landis peaking a little soon if he wants to be a real force come July?
I think Levi, Landis, and Julich all worked harder this winter then they claimed they did. Their results this early season has been excellent. The Tour of California is excellent motivation to maintain form over the winter. The TOC has to be important to an American rider.
Let's hope that they do not peak too early in the year.

Well Julich was dropped again by the bunch today...
Good to see Zubeldia back in form.... 7th overall @ 1'.37"...........

Interview with Bobby J, cyclingnews.com, "its like a governor on the carburetor" at this time of year. I think Bobby J is taking it easy on purpose so he doesnt burn his matches. And on strict orders from Riis. Riis wants them to survive and triumph at Giro AND the TdF.
Bobby has said he wants to wear pink and hand it off to Basso in the last tough mountains and it could happen with CSC likely to domintae the ITT and TTT (OK Disco could challenge too but...), which would be way cool.

I was suprised about Erik dekker (10 th overall 01'.41"😉...
It's his last season and i think we are gonna hear something form Erik during the Belgium races (E3, Brabantse Pijl, Tour of Flanders)....

Agreed.
Erik Dekker's record speaks for itself : I've backed him for Flanders.
ED will want to finish his career on a high.

Maybe Amstel Gold more likely than Flanders...
I can't see him winning a Monument.

Amstel, you're right.
Amstel would suit him - he won there in 2001.
I backed him for the wrong bloody race!

Hmmm no i think he won't win Amstel, Boogerd is the captain of Rabobank at Amstel...
By the way our live coverage starts at 11:35 today (Berlin time)

If Boonen could stay out front with his group all day with this stage's climbs, the chant at the end would be "Eddy !" Eddy !" Eddy !" His countrymen would be going crazy with the second coming of Eddy...... The beer would be flowing .......

If Boonen would pull a win off today with the climbs being what they are , we would have to really re-think the man. Today's stage would be fantastic cycling memory.... but I am getting ahead of myself because we are just at the 1st climb ......

What was Davitamon doing ??? Why would they pull back Boonen? The team consists of mainly Belgian riders except the lone American.... What did they have to gain? [font=Arial]

They hate each other, like Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins,
like Bulls and Knicks.
Like T-Mobile and Gerolsteiner
