1. You obviously don't know France like I do.... have a look at a map and look how close Nice is to Monaco...... and re-read what I wrote.... did I not write "down there" ?

Go back to reading your text updates on the web and leave the live coverage to the men.... :p

Thank-you linesmen, thank-you ball boys, game, set, match WBT. :p

I thought he lived in Monaco, well I guess thats close.
Bobby J lives in Nice, must be nice.
🙂

2. TB was very very impressive today - that man is riding really well.
He blew the field apart.

Good to see my darkhorse selection for MSR going well too.
Alan Davis - watch him.

3. Seems Boonen also chose P-N over T-A (starts next Wed) as it would give him longer to recuperate.

Win number 8 today for Boonen & 6 for Petacchi in Italy - all shaping up nicely for a MSR showdown....

Boonen said on Eurosport today that he wanted to ride to Nice as he lives down there and it gives him time to rest before MSR.....

Boonen talks a lot at long days like today.... But, he was brilliant today.

5. Thats what he mentioned on EuroSport and that he could get home quicker then if he went to T-A.......

They ought to punish idiots like Trenti for blocking other sprinters after leading Tommeke out.

Yeah, I don't think it changed the result, but that was a dirty move.

Stage 2 Boonen again, Davis second. Crosbie (Agritubel) man of the day, a solo of 189 kilometers.

That man Davis is really doing well.

What more can one say about Boonen?
He's superb.

17. Early days yet but Davies will be a chance for the green jersey and maybe a flat classic podium......

I was at Het Volk. I made two pictures which show how he controlled everything. First is Tom Boonen smiling about 1 kilometer for the finish, the second is Tom Boonen playing chess with Hushovd... about 50 meters after the first pic... The whole day it looked all so easy what he did.. Boonen didn't race to win there, he was letting people go (Gilbert), but he reacted immediatly if guys like Hushovd, Wesemann or Klier tried something...

That was exactly what it looked like at Kuurne Brussels Kuurne as well.
He can doing anything he wants in a race so far.
It will be interesting to see if anyone can hang with him when he goes this year in P-R or Flanders. MSR is another story, I mean he'll win of course but it'll come down to a sprint.
