I'm sure I forgot lots of things. Which is why a list is useful to
remind people that this administration is asleep at the wheel, too
preoccupied with corruption.

12. Trail for Osama bin Laden has gone cold, Alec Station (group in CIA
tasked with finding bin Laden) has been disbanded.

Campaign by bicycle.

Here is my campaign bike for a local issue:

Note the lugged chromolly, non-compact, frame with the threaded headset.

Ironically, while the Republicans will do poorly in most of the country,
California, a very blue state, will likely elect several Republicans to
state office, including Arnie. Arnie's opponent is much worse, so even
very dedicated Democrats are voting for Arnie.

With a list so long, who could remember it all? :-(

Have you ever asked yourself, "With all this corruption. lying, dishonesty,
etc, just why can't the Democrats get elected?" 8 years out of the last
25 is not a very good track record.

And you can thank Ross Perot for /that/ aberration! <eg>

Well thank the Supreme Court, Katherine Harris, and Jeb Bush as well. If
they had actually counted all the votes in Florida, and assuming Gore
would have been re-elected, it would have been 16 out of 25. Everyone
now agrees that Gore won Florida in 2000.

There is no need to "remember it all." That's why I jotted down this
list so people can have a handy crib sheet when they go to the polls
this coming Tuesday.

You notice the usual right wingnuts on this board have no adequate
response to any of the items. Mark Hickey and his attempt at
"cognitive dissonance" was downright _hilarious_. He accuses others of
denial when he doesn't even have the modicum of comprehension and
implications of current events, such as "Hamdan v. Rumsfeld" ruling
from SCOTUS.

In fact, I'm still trying to get over his last last post "... (Bush's
military tribunals) Simply a procedural thing that needs to be worked
out..." Yeah, in King George's kangaroo court lots of things need to
be "worked out." Sheesh!

Minimum wage at 40 hours per week will not even be enough to rent a
300-400 square foot studio apartment in a low crime neighborhood, get a
decent diet from unprocessed food bought at a grocery store and buy a
monthly bus pass anymore (not to mention medical deductibles IF medical
coverage is provided).

The single most worrisome thing I've heard in the past week was the idea that
some significant portion of the electorate might actually base their votes on a
reduction in gasoline prices in the months/weeks/days leading up to the
election.

I think we're going to see OBL either captured, killed or producing a

I have. Our electoral system is perverted by big money and simplistic
arguments (such as via TV) and both those things favor the Republican
party.

Damn John!!!
There are people of various backgrounds in various situations that commit
suicide! And you are gonna try (like this story) and use this as fodder to
Bush bash?!?!?!

You have no idea of the facts or the mental state of the soldier. Are you
gonna say the guy that fraged his unit and COs in Iraq ALSO had a good
reason for it????

I am SURE we could have found as many if not MORE of these types of stories
to use as protest fodder during WWII. Luckily we were mostly on the SAME
