LOL. I didn't even have to reply to start the sponsorship thing going again 😉
My techinique? Don't buy my own beer. I'll chip in a few bucks if my friends get good stuff, but
otherwise, I save a TON of cash there. I also had a girlfriend for a while who was filthy rich and
would never let me pay for stuff. That was fun for a while too 😉 It would be nice to have a bit
more cash to throw around at school, but I've already gotten so much enjoyment out of the blur (I've
ridden it at least 5 days a week since I built it), it was well worth it.
my funds are going to plummet soon though, because I have a bet with a friend... we have to get
dates every week, first one to fail, owes the other a sixer. Now, thats not that expensive... but
she's a girl, and she's hot, which means she'll have no problem getting dates, and I'm a guy, which
means I have to pay. Ouch.
BTW, bike shop is good if you're going to be buying stuff a lot - the pay is usually not horrific,
and you get smokin' deals on parts. Oh yeah, and coming in with tons of money saved up and invested
already doesn't hurt either! I saved at least half of every dollar I've made since I was 8 or so -
half of that went to college funds, the rest became spending money. I tapped most of the spending
money last year between school stuff and buying the Blur, but I've still got the money I made this
summer and last year.
Jon Bond btw, I wear smiths... I've already got two pairs, which is the only reason I didn't
buy Rudy's.
