My second cat 4 race - another video for you guys to watch.

Ah! The sucking of 34° air into the lungs! The filthy, cold road spray! The grinding of gritty brake pads against aluminum! Humongous potholes that swallow wheels in one bite!

Spring is in the air...at least in NOVA/DC. Ohio...not so much!

Good work, hanging on over that second climb. The start of the third climb looks like our leg-benders...stiff, out of the saddle, bike rocking stuff!

I recently realized one huge perk of the massive downtube on my new SuperSix is the shielding from road spray on my water bottle nozzle! No more salty residue taste (and God knows what else) on wet days.

Good vids Collin, keep 'em coming.

I must be God...horse **** from the Amish. That's what else.

I put together a montage of the final moments from all the races I've finished in the last 2 years. 18 races in 4 minutes. Looking back it wasn't all pretty but at least it wasn't bloody.

I was feeling your pain on that last climb, well not quite literally as I dropped a few riders, from different groups, on different laps, in my local park today but I have indeed been there and done that (been the hot potato). Despite my week in the hospital and my inability to completely give up the binge drinking the old legs are feeling pretty good ;)

But getting dropped by 1/2's, and especially in March is nothing to be bummed about. When's the upgrade to 3 coming btw?

Not meaning to sound boastful btw, usually I'm getting shown the back door myself this time of year... by the 5's ;)

We'll see if I can manage some points this season and then think about the cat 3s. These kind of rides are the ones that make you stronger... If you aren't getting shelled out the back, you're not getting challenged enough right?

Exactly.

65° here today and the road ride was sweet! Too bad tomorrow brings freezing rain, ice and 1" to 5" of snow depending on how badly Mother Nature wants to use Global Warming™ to **** on us...again.

I'll watch your video tomorrow while I watch the snow fall as I sit n' spin on the rollers.

Eh...4 Minutes...I peaked.

Good job closing the gap on the first climb. Hmmm, is it weird I feel I know every inch of the Apartment Complex Row Climb?

Thanks Bob. Weather was gusting winds and 30 something degrees so 4 people showed up to the Goon today.

Peeked! I 'peaked' last August...damned Engrish is my second language.

We only got 1/2" of snow (just North of here received 4" to 8"), but it was 7° this morning and 21° was the high.

I rode the trainer this afternoon and the road bike got a detailed clean and lubed. The driveline was absolutely plastered with tiny particles of road grit. The roads are so grit covered I think I need one of those Dutch commuter bikes with oil bath enclose chain guard.

The problem here is all the potholes created over the winter. It's like a minefield sometimes.

This is the 8am ride.

Let me know what you think of the new table of contents, where you can click on one and skip to the action.

No. 3: Collin...caught with his nose in the wind, gets mugged by everyone in his draft and...MUST MOVE UP! Great effort on that chase! You buried yourself, blew and kept digging! Heart of a racer! Way to drag yourself over that next climb.

Table of Contents jump feature is awesome.

Wasn't able to drag myself back up this time but I caught back on later after taking a shortcut.

First race of the season. Cat 3/4 Black Hills circuit race. Got creamed but didn't crash! This is the last 200m. More to come.
