My second cat 4 race - another video for you guys to watch.

You think Cav hauls his own 'tube'?

I give you 'Exhibit A'...more...uh...support!

Poor Eddy! His support doesn't need no stinkin' support!

If'n yer sammich maker ain't in the kitchen makin' you a sammich, she better be near the phone and team car!

All she wants to do is fix your flat!

And last, but not least...who could ever slam it home like Rae Dawn Chong?!?!

Ah, Rae Dawn Chong changing wheels while wearing Dolphin shorts--the best reason (some might say the only good reason) for watching American Flyers.

Hey, the little blond chick wasn't just cat food!

And then there's the fact that many of us consider "American Flyers" to be the best cycling comedy ever made! And that reminds me, I really need to get some Shaver Sports retro shorts for a better tan line.

I think the idiom is "chopped liver." I remember now, the blond hitchhiker.

Does youtube have the ketchup-spill scene, by the way?

Dayamn! Cat food stills looks like a cougar!

Too bad she's bat **** crazy. Hmmm? Maybe without the People Eating Tasty Animals shirt...

Perfect timing, Cube! I just ordered a new trainer this afternoon...one that requires no brain (unlike my rollers) so I can zone out to your videos and crank up the music.

BTW, that's another great choice for background music for your video.

If you wanna blow some cash and look back in retrospect as some of the best money you spent on the sport take a look at the E-motions. Still rollers but require substantially less concentration than regular rollers, which I have about 45 seconds of patience for.

I hear ya, dan. I loves me some Kreitlers and riding no hands is a piece of cake. Yeah, I can whip my shirt off over my head and do all manner of stupid stuff to keep my brain from flat-lining, but the fore-aft of the E-Motions (and the Tacx clones and Elite clones) have got to be cool as hell.

I did 30 minutes after starting Cube's video on buffering (Somali DSL connection) and cranked E, L & P up to 11. I was ready to drive nails into my eyes after 30 minutes. Bor-freakin-ing. Sweating buckets with the fan on high and a track bike with a fork with hardly any rake twitching away...still boring. 120 RPM to Al Stewart's "On The Border"...still boring.

I thought all of 10 seconds about getting one of those fancy rigs with the built-in powah meters, computer interface, brain wave monitor and Polar Pop dispensers, but just went for the Kinetic fluid rocker to mix it up. I know it will bore me just as badly, but at least I can drift off to Cube's chill out, techno, trance, house beat, industrial and post-dub step. I want to see how fast those 15 MM track nuts will chew up Kurt's cones and how long those cheap Yellow Jersey sew-ups last as trainer tires!

Speshul Traxles...specific clamp cones...heat resistant trainer tires...riser blocks that rotate...switch skewers...rollers are dead nut simple at least.

I dunno how people coped with training before we all had phones in our back pockets. Leaving home without a phone is bloody risky.

The "fast" part of the 60 miler Saturday ride. Don't know if my videos can compete with the ladies you guys are posting though.

I don't put my phone in my back pocket. I'd just love to fall off, land on my back and have the iPhone screen shatter. Years ago some keys left their mark on my back so nothing "pointy" or dangerous goes in the back pocket anymore. Back in the day people didn't need phones. People knew how to fix things. These days you hear of people taking bikes to the store to have a new chain or brake cables out on. WTF!

Quoting the words of Swampy:
"I don't put my phone in my back pocket. I'd just love to fall off, land on my back and have the iPhone screen shatter."

My friend was practicing Sagan wheelies this summer and went on over...smashing the screen of his phone. "Back in the day people didn't need phones. People knew how to fix things. These days you hear of people taking bikes to the store to have a new chain or brake cables out on. WTF!"

Back in the 1970's a bud re-riveted his split chain back together with a borrowed screwdriver and a rock.

Still, how am I supposed to get my sammich maker to pick me up when my EPS battery goes dead? Do you really think modern man is smart enough to to remember it has a 'limp home' mode? Or are manly enough to figure out they really can get home in whatever gear they are locked into (despite the break away feature on the drive screw)?

We're too far gone and if society ever does melt down I'm just going to stand back and laugh.

12 MPH and 185 BPM! Good job, Collin!

Hey...was that Messrs. Push-Pull in your group?

I must have missed how to fix this one in my Big Blue Book...

It's just a flesh wound! Wrap a sew-up around it take the next town sign. OK...splint it with a frame pump if you aren't relying on that fancy schmancy CO2 stuff!

Jeez I left frame pumps, sew ups, and 2" of handlebar drop behind with Rae Dawn Chong. The teeny pump I gots now would be good to splint... my thumb? At least I'd be able to hitch a ride home.

Nope but you got most of us beat on MHR, I had to look at a whole season's data to find the last time I hit 185 :)

Keep the vids comin'.
