Many chlorinated hydrocarbons decompose to phosgene (COCl2) which was a WW1
poison gas. You can get Chlorine gas at home by mixing bleach with a strong
acid like descaling liquid which contains hydrochloric acid, but that was a
WW1 poison gas as well!

My Tippex is now completely water based.

Harpic and other toilet cleaners will do this;

DO NOT MIX HARPIC WITH DOMESTOS!

Nowadays classified as a weapon of mass destruction.

See? Most of us could have it within 45 minutes. Our beloved
leader wasn't blatently lying after all.

These are two different chemicals. The Tippex solvent was 1,1,1
trichloroethane which as chlorinated solvents go isn't that bad. "Trike" is
trichloroethylene and we used it for degreasing in the lab. It was, as you
say, great if you wanted a thumping headache or wanted to wash all the oils
from your skin and give yourself dermatatis or double vision.

Wasn't he in the process of leaving the house? Perhaps the full force of
the consequences will not be felt until his return.

Was he spotted at CM, with his newly-fettled Dahon?

Put oil on the dog's paws / children's shoes as appropriate, then
arrange to be found cleaning aforsaid alibi when the domestic
authorities return.

It'll probably be helpfull put the bike somewhere else for a bit so
that there's no confusion due to alternative explanations
