As for you turning over a new leaf, I don't think you need to. I haven't noticed a problem with
you selectively helping people. You've got the bug, and you probably get stepped on from time to
time. But being a nice guy that's stepped on once in a while beats the alternative. Or maybe not
(depending upon your outlook), but at least it helps to define oneself.

I second that! I enjoy Carl's "writings" very much. With so many bonehead posts recently, Carl often
hits the nail with his replies.

    Dear Richard and Mike,

    I'm flattered--I think.

"With so many bonehead posts recently, Carl often hits the nail with his replies."

    Hmmm . . .

"With so many bonehead posts recently, Carl . . ."

    Hmmm . . .

Well, I didn't quite follow what Mike was saying there, either, about leaves and bugs and being
stepped on, but hoped for the best in an optimistic fashion.

You said that you enjoy my scribbling, so that must mean . . .

Oh, no . . . now I have this image of you happily watching a fellow banging nails with his forehead
    in a karate demonstration.

I hear some nice music in the next room, possibly Vivaldi, so I'll stroll over there now to hear
better. I'm sure no one will mind.

    Thanks,

    Gregor Samsa

Let's hope you don't sleep on your back or you won't be able to get up tomorrow!
