My mother is using a mac mini. Its an older one. Its a great machine.

I just went on to the apple store. For video you are gonna want the 2
Ghz with the upgrade to 2gb memorey. Total price came to 949.00. That
would work fine for FC but can still get kinda slow. You wouldnt want
to be working with any less power than that. Not that you couldnt, but
if you are going to be buying a new setup you should be aiming for
atleast that or better.

did you not see my list(or my pictures) of my set-up? I love my mac
mini, it's not an intel mac mini but it still runs everything I need it
to run and runs it well.... as long as I don't over-fill the hard
drive.... then it gets sluggish, but all it takes is a good cleaning
and it's running better than ever.

how do you make a multi screen display like this w/o buying a pre-made
setup. i have looked but couldn't find a cable thing that would make it
work this. for example(if i bought a new lcd monitor but kept my old
crt and got a cable so i could use the simultaneously and drag things
from one screen to the other) or would i HAVE to get a pre made one.
and also, if there is a cable, would i need multiple graphics/video
cards. thanks for any help

I'm pretty sure you can do that with your existing set-up and would
need to just buy a cable, I have a dual screen setup on my other
computer... not exactly sure how it was set-up or what is required for
it because my dad set it up for me but it should be possible without
buying a pre-assembled set-up. You'll probably either need a new better
video card, or another additional video card, not quite sure how it
works.

ok, i'm looking for a decent video camera, for low cost (wow... isn't
everyone?)
because my dads canon (4 mega-pixel) just doesnt cut it
unless its being held *very still* (something most teenagers fail
miserably at) then its blurry and pixely when you playback.
so, i live in aus, to all those camera boffins out there, where can i
get a decent video camera at minimal cost (lets say... $300-$400, price
is proportional to skill for me, so when I'm better, i will probably
consider something better)

hard drives bad dude. go with mini dv(digital tape). hard drive
compresses footy destroying the quality. Get a pv gs 80 if your cheap
or a pv gs 320 if you wanna spend a little bit more
