  6. Very cool. I just got my copy last night and I watched it twice. Some
incredible riding and the film-making was very well done. So many
    segments just blew me away.

The things that stick in my head that I loved:
    - I remember going 'oh yeah!' to lots of other bits but now that I'm
typing I can't remember what bits they were =)

I remember now, how could I forget?
    - Brew!! (He's the best!)
    - I liked how in Kevin's part some of the same locations from Spaced
Out were used but this time for bigger moves. Really shows his
    evolution as a rider.
    - Ryan's bench back top and pedal grab to train track lines.
    - The intro to Zack's section with the wave crash
    - Shaun's reaction to the mud puddle

I'm sure more favorites will stick out after another viewing..

    Cheers,

  8. Thanks James. I was wondering if anyone would notice that ledge being
used again. I think that's the only place that was used in both of
them. But yeah, the footplant crankflip was a much harder trick than
the grind on the ledge. Although the grind was extremely difficult
trick too. hard to hop out that far and to slide a short, sticky
ledge. Awesome riding by everyone in the video. I haven't yet gotten
my official copy, but I can't wait to see it!

  9. No worries James... There are hundreds of things that i'm not too keen
on or would change in the video and those comments are really good to
    hear.

    -------
If anyone hasn't noticed, the default audio on the DVD is censored for
all ages viewing. In the options menu you can select to play the video
uncensored, which will eliminate some of the little areas where the
audio cuts out for half a second. You'll have to select this everytime
    that you load the DVD...

I'm also glad that i've heard good comments about the soundtrack. It's
hard to please everyone on this, which is one reason I go for the
varied styles of music. I'm interested to know what songs people
really enjoy or if there are ones that they did not like...

  10. I think it was a supreme idea to have the censored and uncensored audio
tracks, kudos to you for that brilliance 🙂 It definitely makes it
better for showing to the family who may not appreciate the swearing in
    songs.

As far as favourite track goes, i'd have to say All That Matters by
1881 is by far my favourite, followed closely by Paging Mr Bronson by
    800 Octane.

Since you ask, I don't like music with swearing. I'm OK with swearing,
even swear myself sometimes (which really shocks people). But it has a
time and a place. In reaction to a strong and sudden emotion/situation
    but not in a song.
I like a variety of styles of music - but not swearing.
However, it doesn't detract too much from the great riding. And i
always have the option to watch it with the sound off.

  12. Hey Cathy,

I make an extra effort to find songs that have generally positive
lyrics and clean language. To the best of my knowledge any swear word
is censored on the main version of the video (and i've heard these
songs 100's of times over and researched the lyrics on them). I think
there are only 4 swear words total in the original 13 tracks used in
    the video too.

  13. Sorry, did I sound a bit OTT?

The thing I hate even more than swearing in songs is when they are
    censored out. 🙄

Anyway, I probably only noticed it because the rest of it was so great.
And I think there was an episode quite near the beginning so it stuck
    in my mind.

I didn't mean to sound as critical as maybe it came out.

And I love having a 'limited edition' really cool t-shirt.

  14. No, it wasn't OTT... I was just making sure that people know the video
    is appropriate for all ages.

I hate censoring the songs too and yes, the majority of the censoring
is from my part in the video near the beginning.

Glad everyone likes the limited edition shirts!

  15. I love my t-shirt! Thanks for the great service Dan, and I now have a
box full of little polystyrene packing things to play with!

I also like the way you hid the extra sections, and the hidden section
(with the main extra footage, not the little one) is much better than
U2s hidden section, and was exceptionally funny.

Another excellent point about this video is you can very easily use it
as a instructional video for extreme riding, for 2 main reasons...
Firstly you repeat any obscurly angled shots (Ryan Atkins' Block -> Bin
-> Wall line comes to mind right away) to show technical detail, and
you also use fisheye and zoomed instant replay to get closer to the
action. I can play your section particularly at 1/4 speed on my dvd
player and get a very good overview of how you manage to defy gravity
    so convincingly 🙂.

An excellent feature, packed with fantastic extras that are worthy of a
DVD all of thier own (I thought the bonus footage was much harder to
distinguish from the main feature this time, it was of equal quality).
And it was so good of you to embarrass me my showing Tony Torchia
riding rails better than I can...

    Thanks for that 😉 :p.

All in all, more that deserving of the title of best extreme sports dvd
ever. Everything from the titles to the musical selection (I loved to
see 800 octane return, and with such an excellent tune) fitted in with
the feel of the feature perfectly, and for the first time ever I feel I
know the riders in the film. Through the commentary, the interviews and
the clips you used I now feel that I could at least recognise the
riders in the street, and maybe even hold a short conversation! I think
the riders came across as much more human than in the universe
features, and its the little things like showing kris riding with brew
that make the feature work so well. I couldn't have watched U2 twice in
a row, but I've basically watched Defect all afternoon and it still
    surprises me...

Nice burp talking too, I thought that was great. Especially the "Are
you ready for this, baby?" - Foot to tyre, face to floor. Classic.

    Loose.

yeah Paging Mr Bronson is awesome to listen to on the iPod when I'm
riding, and Zeromind in U2 is cool. Have you had to pay for the licence
to use any of the music? That one in "spaced out" has gotta be the
best, can't remember what it's called and it does have plenty of
swearing, um, the one that goes "me and my crew walkin down the street,
no you can't beat the beat the beat the beat"...

Well, firstly it is an awesome movie, best of them all.
And I like very much the soundtrack.
My favourites are "Cause & effect", "The view" and the music in
freestyle part (can´t remember the name right now...). Other songs in
the movie are very good too.

I have also been wondering where might I be able to get those musics if
it is possible? (I havent found any of those from any Finnish music
    shop by now🙁 )
