Sounds pretty close to my situation. Best of luck with your operation. Recovery is long but worth it. You have your whole life ahead of you.sabilona said::hissyfit: I too broke my clavicle in dec 2010. i took two weeks off but could not afford anymore time off than that. i wait tables so you can imagine how hard that is one armed. i opted for the "let it fuse itself back together" it DOESNT work. i have to have surgery. it is so painful as i still am waiting tables after taking a yr off to attempt finding something not so hard on my shoulder. im at a loss and havent slept on my left side in over two years. definately look into surgery if you plan on being an able bodied worker for a few more years. peace and good luck.
don't worry, this feeling will disappear with time, it could take 6-8 weeks, it is because the nerves were upset because of the cut, now they reconstruct how does your symmetry go?bsbs1876 said:I've got so much sensitivity around my incision and below it that my shirt actually irritates the **** out of it. Almost like a bad sunburn feeling. How long this take to settle down for you guys? I am at day 15 post op.
nothing to worry, it is the atrophied muscle fibers that come back and it feels like bruised, try a general workout for chest/shoulders with moderated weight and many repetitions.lets see em said:Hey guys i was at the gym yesterday and I did shoulders and today my collar bone feels like I bruised it has anyone experienced this when working out after surgery?
go see an experienced doctor and tell him that you want to go ahead with the surgery, keep in touchsabilona said::hissyfit: I too broke my clavicle in dec 2010. i took two weeks off but could not afford anymore time off than that. i wait tables so you can imagine how hard that is one armed. i opted for the "let it fuse itself back together" it DOESNT work. i have to have surgery. it is so painful as i still am waiting tables after taking a yr off to attempt finding something not so hard on my shoulder. im at a loss and havent slept on my left side in over two years. definately look into surgery if you plan on being an able bodied worker for a few more years. peace and good luck.

rookie, you have definitely made the right choice. that is a lot of displacement that could likely end up with a non-union if there is no surgical intervention. All the best with your operation and keep us up to date.
Good choice! Very good choice! As you can see, it's completely out of place. I don't even think that would fuse over time. Yep, surgery is the right thing to do.
