Islam OTOH is the *greatest* extant force for evil in the
world, and will remain so for many years to come. It seeks

Yeah the Crusades and the Inquisition and the Salem Witch
Trials were nasty and evil sides of Christianity, and there
are still some backwards and venal "Christians" around (the
Religious Right here in the States frex) but most folks of
the Christian faith are "live and let live"; at the least
they are not for the most part beheading "infidels", plowing
jets into office towers, blowing up trains, and the like.
Christianity for the most part evolved and grew and became
more diverse, so that even once - heavily Christian places
like Spain and Italy and France are now largely secular
societies with rule of law and strict separations between
Church and State....

Oh, another thang about Islam - it celebrates *death*, not
life, thus all the psychotic Muslim martyrs blowing
themselves and innocent Israelis up,
9/11, etcetera ad nauseum. Why bother to improve their own
lives here on Earth when heaven awaits with hundreds of
virgins, etc.? Besides which, Muslims breed like
cockroaches, so the pukes figger there's always plenty
more in the pipeline. With a philosophy like that it's no
wonder Muslims are all losers in life....

Islam and it's adherents (*all* of it's adherents) are
suffering from a deep, deep and dangerous psychosis - and
they want to include all you "infidels" in on their sick
little game. And *that* is a fact. Those of you in your nice
secular societies who sit in your comfortable homes in front
of your snazzy computers and evince a "live and let live"
philosophy towards Islam are simply naive - what we are
engaged in is a titanic "struggle between civilizations"
(*far* surpassing our struggles against Nazism, facism,
Communism...). - it's going to be the main locus of world -
wide conflict for years and even centuries to come. You'd
better hope that our side wins.

It is very unfortunate that the whole Al Qaeda / Iraq crisis
has turned up the heat in the Muslim vs non-Muslim
situation.

For the benefit of those that might not already know it ...

There are several hundred million Muslims in this World.
Only a fraction are fundamentalists ... and only a very
small fraction of all fundamentalists are extremists ....
and only a very small fraction of extremists are terrorists.

Muslims believe in one God, as do the Christians and the
Jews.

It is a pity that a very very small group of Muslims have
carried out certain acts (very sad acts) that have in turn
led the rest of the World into believing that Islam is a
violent and savage religion.

Islam teaches us peace and respect for thy fellow man -
regardless of colour, race or belief.

Just my own two cents worth, but hopefully it will not fall
on too many deaf ears.

day i go out I have to face the stares and cruel words of
people who don't understand that muslims are not all like
al-qaeda, we are not all hell bent on misusing the word of

Islamic nations. The Saudis are finally angry enough to make
gestures against terrorists in the face of the stunning
irony of their support of the groups all these years.

The extremists have government support and shelter in too
many countries. These are governments ostensibly established
under Islamic law. They observe the laws of tooth and claw,
not civilization. The further irony is that civilization as
we know it began in the Tigris and Euphrates valleys, Iraq,
and spread through the middle east to the rest of the
western world. They have forgotten their roots and their
central beliefs. Education and thinking have been the worst
casualties in this centuries-long decline. Islam appears to
be in eclipse except as a breeding ground for ignorance,
destruction, and passivity against evil. Where are the
builders? Where are the great thinkers? Where are the
creators of a better world? Where are the visionaries?

To be fair (and Bog knows why), that'd be a transliteration
from Arabic, so just about any Roman alphabet vowel would do
(Moslem, Muslem, Moslim, Moslem, Muslim...). It's
interesting to read UK newspaper transliterations of the
name of the ruler of Libya - the righter-wing the newspaper,
the sillier-looking (in English) the name. So the (extreme
left wing) Morning Star might say "Qudaffi" (which looks
"authentic"😉 but the (right-wing) Teleraph says "Gadaffy",
which just looks silly.
