Can anyone recommend any good, inexpensive accommodation - preferably a
pub - between Crianlarich and Bridge of Orchy or Kingshouse?
Grateful for suggestions.

There's also a pub in Tyndrum although I don't remember if it does

Bridge of Orchy Hotel has gone down on my scale of good stopping places over
recent years. Bunk house is fine but no cooking facilities and last time I
was there it only seemed to sell minimal portions of beautifully presented
food with hefty prices. Not what you need when you're ravenous.
The new place at the station looks really good though. -

Yes it was fantastic then. It was too in 2000. Sadly in 2004 things had
changed somewhat :-( -

If you're walking the West Highland Way there is definitely a problem
with the availability of carbohydrate between Tyndrum and Kinlochleven.We've walked between Drymen and Fort William in each of the last two
years - taking a high route in good weather and the path in poor weather
and stayed only in Rowardennan, Crainlarich and Glencoe SYHAs, using the
bus or train to return to Crainlarich or Glencoe for stages north of
Loch Lomond.Another bunch of walkers said we were crazy getting the evening train
back to Crainlarich when they were comfortably ensconced in the bar at
Bridge of Orchy. Seeing them again in the morning they said they were
starving and wondering if they could get more food at Inveroran :-).Of course we'd enjoyed not only a beautiful train journey but also a
proper meal. -

bar. -

The last time we camped outside Kingshouse there were 4 tiny new
potatoes with the evening meal to replenish the energy stocks. Since we
were told we could get breakfast in the morning, I didn't bother with
the any more food that night. In the morning we were rudely told we'd
have to wait till 9 or 9.30 for breakfast. So now I stick to having a
beer in the Climbers Bar waiting for the bus.I must admit that I don't know about the evening food at the Inveroran
Hotel. We did have a nice cup of morning coffee and some tasty cakes
there last year waiting (in vain) for the rain to stop! -
