....whom I met on my way back from the shops today.
It was a narrow road with passing places, and the driver of the car in
which this exemplar of womanhood was the passenger had kindly pulled
over in one to let me by.
As I passed, the nice lady shouted something to me, most of which was
unintelligible, but I clearly heard the last three words "...you fat
[censored]." As I said, charming.
I waved merrily as I pootled off, both to thank the driver for waiting,
and in the hope that this would annoy the passenger more than anything
else I could do.
I thought to myself on the way home, that I am undeniably fat, and
probably, on occasion, a [censored], but I don't generally hurl abuse at
total strangers merely because they happen to be using the same bit of
road as me.
I suspect she was just jealous because I was out in the fresh air and
sunshine on my trike and she was stuck in a smelly mobile greenhouse :-)
