  1. ....whom I met on my way back from the shops today.

It was a narrow road with passing places, and the driver of the car in
which this exemplar of womanhood was the passenger had kindly pulled
over in one to let me by.

As I passed, the nice lady shouted something to me, most of which was
unintelligible, but I clearly heard the last three words "...you fat
    [censored]." As I said, charming.

I waved merrily as I pootled off, both to thank the driver for waiting,
and in the hope that this would annoy the passenger more than anything
    else I could do.

I thought to myself on the way home, that I am undeniably fat, and
probably, on occasion, a [censored], but I don't generally hurl abuse at
total strangers merely because they happen to be using the same bit of
    road as me.

I suspect she was just jealous because I was out in the fresh air and
sunshine on my trike and she was stuck in a smelly mobile greenhouse :-)

You should have taken the plate number and reported the scum. It's the only
way they'll learn, and will prevent the next cyclist getting it.

Put them in the stocks so I can throw rotten fruit at them. 😄

I wonder if it was the same nice lady who shouted "you wanna lose a
few pounds, love" out of the passenger window of a passing car?
Zoomed off too fast to hear my "why do you think I'm on the bike dur?"
    riposte.

I was too surprised at the time. Besides which:

    a) She was a passenger in the car, so there's no telling what her
relationship to the driver was - he might have just been giving her a
    lift.

    b) I doubt the local plod would have given a monkey's anyway.

Waste of rotten fruit, that. Put it on the compost heap for next year's
    runner beans :-)

You only say that because there's a race in Reading later this year :-)

All I need now is an AI-complete newsreader and it'd come up with the
subject "And just a touch too complimentary... Guy Chapman"

  10. "> For?

At the very least, verbal abuse I would think. But to let it go would be a
    worse crime.

Or maybe it was a misheard "You fit [censored]" ;-)

Given that the driver was a bloke, this is possible, but unlikely :-)

As the culprit was a lady, which bit(s) constitute the goolies? :-)

(Don't answer that; we don't want this thread to descend into an anatomical

  18. I'd just like to see a picture of the trike. Stuff the passenger, life's too precious to waste time on morons in cars passing insults.

Well I don't have a picture of mine to hand, but it's one of these :-

and the red one in the top right hand picture used to be mine, before we
sold it and bought one with disc brakes

Thats probably the only time in your life you'll have dealings with
that disgusting individual. Just feel sorry for the poor bloke driving
the car. With any luck he's taking her to a nearby field to stick a
shovel through her head and bury her where she will never be found.
