can't say I've seen this prog before. Suilven looked fabulous in snow but
it was a shame they chose Bruach na Frithe. If they're going to drag Griff
up Napes Needle next week they could have taken him up the Inn Pin or
something this time round.

It was OK as far as this sort of thing goes. Much, much better than the [censored]
that's usually on TV - but that doesn't really mean much.
I only watched it as i was half asleep on the sofa and too lazy to get up,
but i'm glad i did. Will have to find them on torrent or get my invite to
BBC on demand service as i dont tend to watch things by timetable. OTOH, i'm
getting my sunday nights back now i'm no longer teaching, so there's a
chance i might catch them live. And that Heroes program managed to keep me
viewing for 2 episodes, but while i'm intrigued, no doubt they will stretch
the plot out so thin (think Lost, i watched a couple then gave up when i
realised that there was possibly 300 episodes, i've more important things to
do) as to render it unwatchable.
As said below (or above, i never know where these posts end up), it was a
general program - not a specialist one. In this it was OK, but i reckon
they missed out totally on what a bothy can be like!
I'd like to know how long they waited for that snow, jammy gits!
What next? Snowdon without crowds? OK, i can sort that one out too, but i'm
not sharing ;-D
I'm surprised nobody's commented on his 'gear' yet? Or on McNeish's gear, or
am i on the wrong forum (yes, i know it's usenet, but it's less clumsy!) for
that? I couldn't see any labels, if i dare admit i was looking....
I reckon that the mountain shots would have looked great on a HD TV though?
