I've not noticed that drivers in London wear Lycra. I shall keep an eye

The cyclists didn't lose control of their bikes. They were riding along,
legally and safely, until some idiot with three bald tyres doing 50mph on
    ice ploughed into them.

And /they're/ in the wrong? This from a /motorcyclist/ ?

If this loon, instead of ploughing into a group of cyclists out for a run,
had ploughed into a group of motorcyclists out for a run, would you be
saying 'oh, but the motorcyclists are to blame - they shouldn't have been
    on the road'?

Those of us who go out on the roads without a ton of steel armour around us
ought to stick together at least a bit - we're all equally vulnerable.

Traffic violations, pavements/lights etc should carry the same financial

I think the law should be waived for really slow, perfectly controlled

The ice wasn't the motorists fault, more tyre tread doesn't help on ice, his
speed was not excessive on the road, how would he know ice was around.
Anyone could have been caught out. I feel sympathy for the cyclists and the
    driver.

I don't think motorcycle couriers ride too much differently.

Next time anyone calls for a bike courier, that's why your package
    gets delivered so quickly.

Oh, and multistorey carpark downhilling is hilarious fun.

The fact that he (according to his own testimony) had to spend five
minutes scraping ice off his car before he got into it was possibly a
small clue that there might be ice around.

In what way "enjoyable"? Why do you think cyclists get labelled "red-
    light-jumping, Lycra-wearing [censored]"? Answer: red-light-jumping, Lycra-

This statement is about as bigoted as you can get.

Firstly, how on earth can you have a "list of hated road users"? I
guess you group everybody by what vehicle they're in/on? Do you
include the colour of their skin, or their gender? No? Why not?

And what about the people who use more than one form of transport? Do
they actually change as they move from one to the other?

Remember that for all the unthinking reasons that you "hate cyclists",
plenty of other road users hate *you*.

You seem to have issues. You also seem to be under the impression that
I might be a red-light jumping Lycra-wearing-[censored] too. Err, well, come
to think of it, I do have a pair of Lycra cycle shorts somewhere. But
I don't habitually jump red lights. Even on a bicycle, of which I have

Actually, I was just thinking this very thing this morning. But only
because one chap on a bicycle mildly inconvenienced me personally. I'm
sure the marks will polish out. Sometimes though, I think that they do
have a point. Road courtesy cuts both ways.

This sort of thing is not normally a problem because on most days I'd
