Really. I saw a list. Everything was on it, and I hated everything on the list. Everything.
OBFood: I sliced some radishes very thin and added about 1/4 their volume of thinly sliced red onion. I then seasoned them with fresh ground black pepper and kosher salt. Then I added some rice wine vinegar and some good olive oil. It was a nice little salad with the grilled steak. There were other things on the plate, but I hated them. -- modom

good luck with the smoking. I've got myself down to 2-3 a day, mostly just to smoke with friends.

Good for you. If I recall, the first day was somewhat easy - the 2nd day sucked and the 3rd day REALLY sucked, but after that it wasn't totally awful.
I won't even go into the health, smelly aspect etc. etc. of smoking - but it's easier today to stop than it was, several years ago. And you may even find after several months or a year or so, that your nose develops a much better sense of smell............and cigarettes will really offend.
Really. I saw a list. Everything was on it, and I hated everything on the list. Everything.
Good luck dear! Quitting cold turkey like that sounds so hard.

Congrats! Well done!...It's hell isn't it.
I went the gum way...The gum tastes like [censored], bad [censored], undercooked bad chewy [censored]... but I liked stuff again. And why is it the Government only has support webpages for teenagers for quitting smoking...something I really hated. It was like they gave up on me and my age group.
OBFood: Had grilled smokies, jalapeno & REAL cheese smokies for supper and even grilled the pre-buttered buns. Served with liberal saur kraut applied. Real cheese (HA!) I hate when they lie like that.
Nah, actually you hate yourself for smoking and having so difficult a time stopping... but don't cave and eventualy you will love yourself. Good Luck.

Don't go that way. Way too lovey dovey and you don't want the boys down at the smokehouse talkin do ya?...You'd hate it. Try the sex replacement method...You want a ciggarette...Have sex instead...How is your Stamina?

Not totally awful. Great. Just what I was looking for. A not totally awful day.

I've not found offense in them yet, but I do smell them on other people quite distinctly as of this afternoon.

so...like...totally I'll admit I have a weird relationship with cigarettes, I can go days or weeks without them and not even notice and then just decide to have one or two. I never really decide to quit or start up. I smoke when I smoke because I enjoy it. Just recently, I finished off a pack and hadn't gotten around to getting more. Since I was off work all last week I didn't really have anyone to get any from anyway. Then on Saturday I found a pack that I bought and then forgot about. I didn't miss smoking, but I don't really have a problem with it when I do.
The only time I really have a problem is when we're at bars. A year ago they passed a law banning smoking in all restaurants and bars. It's very strange t me to have the vodka tonic in one hand but no cigarette in the other.

Stop that...Running around downtown Texas smelling people might be a shoot on sight offence! And I read in the paper too much about weirdos in texas being shot.
Once again Congrats! The cravings go away...with me it got down to a once a day, then once a week, then once a month type dealie. They strike outa the blue. So prep yourself for them.

Get a self help book...look up addictions and that river in Egypt...Denial!
Sure even I said that...I was a 3 pack a day man in my time. It took lung diease to stop me...what will it take to stop you? Trust me you won't want to stop the way I was force to. Plus if you're a diabetic...95% of smoking type 2's have a limb removed. Won't that look cute in a bathing suit or running around with the grandkids.

A big tip I learned ...stay outa rooms that you smoked in a lot...seems nicotine sticks to walls and the smell can cause cravings. Also avoid activities where smoking was a big part...with me it was beers with the boys and reading in my armchair. Both were where I smoked the most. So I'm sorry to say the strip club to you is off limits...
Don't try the nut eating route...using shelled nuts to keep your mouth busy...after a while it gives you the runs.
It's been 6 yrs and I can read in my armchair and have beers with the boys these days.

Futz. If you'da skipped the vinegar and oil and onion and laid those radish slices on some buttered bread, and sprinkled with a titch of salt, your disposition would be a helluva lot better than it is now. "-) IBeProud.
