Not totally awful. Great. Just what I was looking for. A not
totally awful day.Don't worry. It's all one day at a time, one hour at a time, 5 minutes
at a time. Eventually you think they smell horrid, and the idea of
kissing a smoker reminds you of kissing an ashtray after a keg party.Quoted message said:Quoted message said:I won't even go into the health, smelly aspect etc. etc. of smoking - but
it's easier today to stop than it was, several years ago. And you may even
find after several months or a year or so, that your nose develops a much
better sense of smell............and cigarettes will really offend.
I've not found offense in them yet, but I do smell them on other
people quite distinctly as of this afternoon.See? You're starting to find positive things already! Your sense of
smell is improving.
Pretty soon, you'll notice that you're using smaller amounts of
seasoning, and things are tasting really good.maxine, who quit dozens of times, and finally for good 10 years ago.
I think Mark Twain said it best:
"Quitting smoking is easy. I've done it a thousand times".
;-)
I do have friends that are using a lot less salt after quitting smoking,
and branching out in their tastes in food.
I know it sux right now and I'm sending you mental hugs, but it will
have it's compensations in the long run. Try to focus on that if you
can. :-)
In the meantime, indulge in your favorite beer....... <lol>
