ErgoBrain 10 problem

bike on the bike stand, but then when on the road, the display will
blank and I must touch the lever to get it back -- this mostly happens
when I am on the large chainring. It is a nuisance.

I have reinstalled the harness, and examined the contacts, but I don't
see anything wrong. I'd replace the harness if I knew that it was at
fault, but it could be the lever contact.

Any suggestions? Is there a Campy tech bulletin on this?

It sounds like you may have overtightened the lever assembly. The
microswitch unit for the EBrain is fairly sensitive to
overtightening...the switch housing warps slighty, causing some very
odd symptoms. Try loosening the level housing until the body can move
on the bar, re-seat the switch housings, and tighten the body to
exactly the recommended torque-spec (sorry, don't have it handy) OR
until the lever just stops moving when you rap it sideways real hard
with your fist.

Many thanks for the hint. It helped. It's not 100%, but much better. I
suspect that I tightened too much the first time, because the orange
plastic insulator is broken.

While pulling on the front der cable, with needle nose, cable not
attched to the front der, push the thumb button down, to take all the
slack out. THEN attch and secure the cable.
