My partner has just heard about Robin Cook popping his clogs whilst out hill
walking and is alarmed!
The problem is that she is not in the least bit interested in hill walking
whilst my idea of a holiday is a good trek in the Pyrenees. So far I have
been going solo, my only walking partner living about two hundred miles away
and being self employed.
I think my partner is now worried in case anything happens to me while I am
away.
I am not really a club person - preferring to walk alone or in a group of no
more than about three. However I have considered joining a club in order to
find a regular walking partner who might be interested in the Pyrenees.
However they seem a bit thin on the ground around here(North Wales, Chester
area)
Anyone got any ideas.
PS
I'm retired and pushing sixty(but I can still carry a full rucksack!)
