OK, sorry Mike.

: So, my son needs sugar, you say. Yes, if his blood sugar is low.
but you say he is hypoglycemic? or do you mean hyperglycemic?? hypo == too
little, hyper == too much
: Hopefully, a diabetic diet should be able to help keep those dips
: under control, and I doubt a diabetic diet is composed of primarily
: of sugar.
No! The diabetic diet keeps the high sugars under control!! When diabetics go
hypo, they have administered too much insulin for the sugar they have consumed.
:I would expect it to have a properly balanced nutritional
: éventail which would include slower burning material than sugars.
but its the fast burning sugars that your son requires, (if he is hypoglycemic)
give him slow burners and he is going to be very ill!
:
: Oh, and I plan to be totally irresponsible in this matter, just so
: you know :-,>
:
by responsible, I mean you (and your son) have to take control of your son's
condition. It is well understood by diabetics that they are responsible for
looking after their illness, with the doctors help. Do not rely just on your
doctors say so. Seek others opinion.
Just trying to help, but if you don't want it, why post?
cheers
