Jetta called and changed the bike pickup time, for the fourth time! It's okay because they pushed it back an hour (11am-1pm now).
Bike still isn't boxed. I put two bottle cages on it. The Kryptonite U-Lock mount wont fit on the frame with two cages so the lock will have to be strapped to the rack I guess. I'm looking up the speedo manual so I can set it up for the StreetRazor slicks.

Enjoy the trip. Keep us posted. Those of us currently chained to desks need something to keep us going. So please time your posts to arrive at my desk in Perth (GMT+8) at 9:00am so I can start my day right.😄
I didn't take many more pics because everyone's seen the GT a hundred times and it's standard LX bits. I didn't get the guards fitted or the speedo mount.

It's a pretty long flight to England, are you sure two water bottles will be enough? Better take some Carbo Shotz too.
Marty
hey a Carbo Shotz fan, we must be the only ones in Australia. Do you have any trouble getting hold of them in WA?
DaveB
Hi Dave. I can only get them from the big city, they're not the sort of thing you find in the local shops. Calling myself a fan of them is stretching things a bit, but they seem to do the job. I bought some High5 a few days ago and discovered its main ingredient is maltodextren. So instead of paying $26 dollars a tin I can get maltodextren for $6 a kilo and I'll make my own. Maltodextren is a common ingredient for brewing beer. You can get it in supermarkets.
I used to make a mix of maltodextren and coke to get me through the Avon Descent canoe race. If you leave it in the camel back for two days it ferments and makes a lovely gassy drink.

Carbo Shotz? What flavours do they come in? What's the breakdown? Do they taste as good as Honey Stingers?
Tam
Tam they're overpriced and over rated and difficult to use. If you presently use something else then I'd recommend you stick with it. I've done some investigating and nearly all energy stuff uses maltodextrin as a base with flavoring added. Maltodextrin is a carbohydrate (looks like talcum powder) which is also called corn syrup and is one of the ingredients in Coca Cola and Mars Bars.
