  1. My feet haven't failed me but my immune system has.
The flu, a cold and now a third virus in less than 2 months is telling me
that even 16 mile long runs are too much for me right now.

Hope the weather is more cooperative for those that participate this year.

Doug, guess who's on our homepage?

    I love running!

    Parker,

Looks like wisdom has had its say. As one of my mentors continually
repeated to me: Reality always wins. Our only job is to get it touch
    with it.

Checked out TeamUtopia. Looks like a great group.

I see an attractive lady in a low cut dress that I might conjure some
lascivious thoughts about but for decency standards I stop there. Is
there someone else I should notice?

  4. I'll bet that third virus is venereal warts.

No she's the one, you don't remember her from her TV news spot before Boston
last year? You said something about wanting to find her in your X-mas
    stocking.

Ah yes, but how soon I forget when they have clothes on.

I'm in a similar boat - flu and immuno-weakness has mostly sidelined me for
over 2 weeks now. So many factors are involved: sleep issues over time,
times of stress, too much exposure running in the cold. If you got the same
flu I did, it lingers on for too long.

I'm sure he says that about anything with two X chromosomes and a pulse. ;-)

  9. Run Boston even if you are not 100%. The crowds and the atomshere will
carry you a long way. The last 10k is hard, but they all are. I'm kind
of in the same boat excpt my boat departs Hyannis @10am sunday. Just
below my right knee that band is a little swollen and stiff, but you
know what? I'm going to run and take it easy in the begining and if I
feel fine will pick the pace up. I want to run under 3:15 which
shouldn't be a problem, but its a marathon and anthing can happen. So
just go run Boston and have a FUN run if you don't feel 100%.
    Happy Tapering,
