I use a turbo from time to time, but it is a bit dull compared with going
out for a ride. I am blessed with a big hill opposite my house and the hill
is much more interesting than the turbo.
The real bike you might look at is a Dawes Giro 200 - these can be had for
about £230 on eBay - excellent value (£300 list). Stick this is an £80
magnetic turbo and you have a trainer that can not only give you a variable
load workout, but you can take the bike out on the road when it's not
rubbish weather.
