Hi there folks. I'm new to this newsgroup and I was hoping to get a
little encouragement.
See, I started Atkins (for the 2nd time) on October 1. It worked great
the first month, I lost 10 pounds (going for about 35 more) but now it's
seemed to peter out. The last 3 weeks I haven't lost anything, it's
just kind of hovering. Quite disappointing. I've even started working
out 2 weeks ago to get it moving again, 3 times a week, and no dice so
far. My measurements don't appear to be moving either.
I read all the information out there on stalls and just this past
Saturday I decided to remove citric acid from my diet and see if it
helps. (God, I could use a diet 7up right now. *cry*) Already I've
noticed I don't have to pee quite so often (though I am replacing the
soda I used to drink with water, so I am still getting hydrated) and I'm
not hungry quite so much. Maybe giving up citric acid was a good thing.
I eat 2 meals a day, breakfast (2 scrambled eggs + 3 slices bacon with
coffee) and dinner (usually some meat item and a half a can of green
vegetable). Sometimes I have something in between meals, a atkins bar,
or a slim jim. I also take a multivitamin, plus fish oil and extra
calcium (mom has osteoporosis (sp)).
I really don't know what else I can do. It's getting very frustrating
to see the scale staying the same, or even moving up a pound. I know
some of it could be water, but it still bogs me down. I wouldn't go
back to regular carb eating because I could practically feel myself
getting fat after a high carb meal, but it's still frustrating.
